Esto Les Digo sung by Montgomery High School mixed chorale under the direction of heather orr. Sung for UIL concert portion, helped them win sweepstakes by earning straight ones.
beautiful intonation and diction and great blend of voices only one constructive suggestion soloist let the sound "RING" other than that great great great many kudos to Ms/Mrs orr very pleasant to hear over and over again!!!!
This song is absolutely amazing!! it is by far my favorite out of all the songs I sang in high school choir. We got to sing this song in front of hundreds at carnegie hall in NYC in my choir in '05 and it was awesome! great job guys
What a wonderful, wonderful performance. Such lovely blend and a nice heartfelt sound. The stresses in the diction are just terrific. Excellent director at work here!
There are a lot of things to say about this performance. The choir sounds very present: you can hear a few little background noises here and there. I like that in a choral recording. If there's any criticism I have about this recording, it's that it is too fast in some places. But, the rubato is very, very well done; excellent phrasing.
I love this song so much! The Montgomery choir (of Texas) is so awesome!!!! I have gone to all the performances and they recently performed this song! It is so beautiful. I almost was brought to tears when I heard it. Heather Orr is an amazing Director!
i loved this song...my choir sung it for a fallen soldier that had given his life for the country. its almost as if he was there...so many people wept during this performance, including myself. this is such a beautiful piece. you guys definitely did it justice
Sang this with the Blue Lake International Choir Ensemble in 2008... Still brings me to tears. I wish they had a full version of my choir singing it, but this is just as good. Incredible, really. I love it.
my high school chorus is doing this song tonight, and i dont think we can do it quite as softly or perfectly as you did. such a beautiful blend of voices, its magical!
One of the most beautiful pieces of music I have ever heard. My son's Freshman HS Chorale performed the piece surrounding the rails in three levels of the Rotunda in the Texas State Capitol Building (you know, the one that's bigger than the one in Washington DC). The acoustics were incredible, though. I think we stopped the State from functioning for the duration of the song. One guy who stepped out into the a hallway said, he thought he had died and was listening to Angels! Beautiful!
I love this song! I sang this my junior year and in choir and often think about this song. I love how ya'll start in D flat major and then end up in D major. :). 2 of my favorite keys to sing in. :). I love this version of this song. I want to direct this with a choir of my own or write it for an ensemble. I love this song! Fantastic job!
Wow, really, really great. You guys definitely sing at the college level, at least. Ms. Orr must be a very good director. I just wish she'd opted for a soloist on the last bit there. I wish my high school choir had been that good.
I want to sing this song so bad, unfortunately, at my school, we don't have enough men to even consider this piece. Lol. But I adore this song and listen to it almost everyday. PHENOMENAL JOB!
I was just trying to download this from iTunes, and none of the recordings are nearly as good as yours! I love the musicality of your group. Can't you guys sell this?! :)
it was a little heavy, but that is probably because of a lack of men. otherwise best version i've heard, dynamics were great and the soloist was pretty in tune on the G
i love this performence but not enough of the basses i feel like there is no fullness in your sound becuase nyou can't hear the bases well, and this song was ment to be very smooth like the heavens which is why it is so beutiful but in any case you huys did do well and i sang this just nat my last choir concert it made people cry their eyes out
i would have..unfortunately, i have learned of copyrights recently and i don't want to be in trouble. so sorry..maybe if you can ask for it from the composer himself, Mr. Kinley Lange..he is on facebook :D
