This song is sooooo beautiful! And sad. I like hearing that the life of fame is not much better than reality for the rest of us. My heart aches for Mike. It sucks being poor but this song make The rich and famous seem more like The rest of us. The more popular remix takes away from the beauty. I've always liked Mike
Maybe overly nerdy response, but it could be less about the lyrics and more to do with the resonance frequency of the notes...? The lyrics (since you can understand them inherently, there is not angst in feeling like you're left out of the story) become a profound non-issue in that that voice is just another harmonic instrument amongst the ensemble. I like the song to, but I cannot relate to the story.

The 'songs' at the end sounds like a father saying 'son', I watched his live performance of this song and before performing it, he mentions his father and how nobody wants you to think that you're gonna die so that they can keep selling you stuff. His father died, I think that last word of the song was a bit of a tribute.
