- The purpose of the final clip is to demonstrate how Alex's meter works during V-Trigger. You can see that by parrying he gains back a little bit of meter, even by the end of the clip his V-Trigger gauge has not run out.

+Tremuoso Looks like it, he keeps losing v-trigger after starting up, but then after the person hits him during the startup it becomes a parry while he gains the v-trigger meter back.
+LiangHuBBB You also have to hold it, if the opponent tries to hit you, you will parry it. Trying to parry a multi hit move without holding the buttons of the parry will make you mess up, you may still parry it but it would be very hard

It's nice that the opponent stays with their head in the ground if you KO them using Critical Arts.

I've been waiting for this character so i can get into the game. My main man Dan isn't there so this is my guy. I just can't beat extreme survival . I keep dying at like 70. I've only been trying for a day or two though.

You don't need to kill the cpu every time you do a combo, desk. A lot of people would rather just see the actual amount of damage you did instead of "perfect K.O." every time you do a new one.

+Drambit Can't you roughly guess just by the amount of health he leaves since it makes it so the last hit ko's anyway?
The amount of damage decreases when life is low, sometimes is very useful to see how much HP have to has the cpu to KO with that combo on scalated damage
Desk puts his editing style in his videos, it works well for transitions and has a sort of "combo complete" feeling. He's not making a guide or anything, it's just a stylish showcase.

This character has been out for a day and this is what this guy does.. what the fuck.
A lot of this are derivations of his trials so I basically learnt next to nothing from this combo video - however totally lost it at the evo moment #37 😂
The combo around 1:17 you can do his clothesline into super after the crouching hp or clothesline into ex knee smash.

parry shoulda been a universal mechanic in this game. but i guess capcom was scared that it would turn away many of the audience
+OneButton Dash I wouldn't put it past them to release a mode with parrys for everyone. sort of like omega mode in 4. So many people want it.
+Andrew Vaaler As awesome as parries were, you'd dilute both SF3 and SF5 by including them as a universal mechanic again. Just as SF4's focus attack uniqueness would be diminished if re-used in subsequent titles. Just my opinion.

I don't get why you end your combos with the "KO" screen.
So apparently Alex has a parry during his V-Trigger, while Ryu and Zangief have V-Skill parries. You know who should also get a parry during his V-Trigger then?

Well, the crush counter heavy kick is a crumble. With crumble, when the characters knees hit the floor, they "technically" are airborne, so he did the diving cross chops that juggle airborne opponents.

Practice. if the sledgehammer is coming out it means you held the buttons for too long.

is there a way I can do alex's charged moves faster?
Generally charge times are constant, so no. You just want to learn to be constantly holding back or down during certain moves which are very active so you can get the charge move right after.

It's called Overhaul. His next attack registers as a hard hit and does nearly double the damage it normally does.

+Mecha Soldier it's like Hakan's 360 kick but worse in every way. It can't hit crouching opponents, it can't hit airborne opponents (like Hakan's can), there are no set ups for it because there's no forced standing frames on wake-up like in sf4 and it doesn't do much damage.
The only thing it has going for it is that it looks cool, quite frankly I think if you land the DDT you should automatically win the match because if someone gets hit by it they deserve to lose. That being said I wouldn't have minded it being his V-reversal.
So basically hes only good if your opponents are terrible
He seems like a character that's useful for advanced players kind of like gief

I think he's a rather dangerous grappler at mind punisher because he was faster than gief while slower than R. Mika. Unlike Gief, he's an offensive and Rushdown grappler like R. Mika but more emphasized on mid range punishment thanks to his slap. He had no shortage of getting in option even outside of V-Trigger. He's very high level material so if you saw a good Alex, prepare yourself because he might be a nightmare to zone.
