I wonder how it would've been if you had the chains on, probably you'd dig yourself faster in first gear, but maybe had a better grip in second gear? I don't know, I'm speculating here. Keep up the tests I enjoy them a lot :)

Can I find out what improvements are in rav4? How is the gearbox? How did you disable TRC and VCS? I have the same one, but the electronics prevents the wheels from slipping, the engine slows down.

Ambele masini s-au comportat foarte bine. Nu e simplu de urcat dealul acela, mai ales pe zăpadă.

More money spent on gas and heating. Also imagine your car being your freezer in first 5km.
These kind of tests must be done with the same driver, same tyres and ofcourse u must compare similar versions of cars. In this example they should compare the 5door rav4 with the same driver. The guy who drives the rav4 pushes it much harder, and thats how should be done.
100 kg less weight and shorter its no wonder, when the Toyoto has gone far.
But after all I think the Toyota is the better car.

I have this car PANDA 4X4 with ELD Multijet model 2013, friends of mine have these cars (DUSTER & RAV4) , so for sure you are dreaming.
PANDA with ELD has totaly better 4X4 system than these cars and its not so heavy.
Pretty cool. The bumps cancel out most of the forward motion, also the RAV4 does not appear to be equipped with the rear LSD. I figured the Duster would do better since it is at least 14 years newer. The older RAV4 wins this in my opinion.
But RAV 4 ( second generation) has full time AWD. Duster dosen’t
20 years old just by being there is winning, i don't really think the duster will be working 20 years after

Când ați comparat Duster cu Q 7 ați urcat mai mult acum se poate vedea ce înseamnă diferite condiții de aderentă Cred ca Dacia are aceleași cauciucuri și același șofer Cum va înțelegeți cu șoferii mașinilor ce au volan pe dreapta vorbiți romană sau doar engleză ?
I had this rav4 and I can tell you with good tires should not have any problems there and if you have 3 more people inside for weight it's unstable

The front bumper is custom made by someone in our area. He doesn’t make them to sell it online or otherwise. I have to get the car there and he makes it on the spot

Eu consider ca o mașină pe benzina ajuta mult mai mult pe parte de urcare, o poti tine la turații mult mai mari si nu pierzi din demaraj/forța. Se aude ca Rav 4 merge foarte turat fata de Duster care nu cred ca e mai turat de 3500-4000 rotatii pe minut.
pai asta e secretul sa nu dai gaz ca un dement . Roata trebuie invartita usor sa prinda aderenta :)

Use propper gear and a zig zag approach, as there is space enough. And get that winch.

Dacă vrei să urci pe zăpadă mare mergi pe aceleași urme nu o frămânți să faci o arătură.Și dacă tot faci comparație puneți aceleași anvelope .Cele de pe Duster sunt praf la genul ăla de zăpadă.
in my country rav4 can buy 3 dacia dusters. dacia duster is by far the price performance car.

all videos you use mostly diesel Dusters. use tce 150 hm benzine 4x4 on snow.. or other non diesel engines as 4x4.. benzina 4x4 dusters not work on snow???😣😈
My duster is diesel. It’s hard to get a 150 hp and go Offroad with it 😅

Asa va place sa stricati pasunile, drumurile forestiere, ca sa ce? Sa vedeti care masina e mai tare? Maii fratilor, pe asa teren va trebuie cauciucuri speciale, cu crampoane, off road (ca bag seama ca nu stiti ce e aia). Puneti niste cauciucuri de oras si incercati sa urcati dealuri. Puneti senile si o sa vedeti ca aia cu cai mai multi si greutate mai mica o sa urce mai sus. Vedeti daca in clasa a IX-a stateati cu gandul la masini? In loc sa invatati fizica mecanica, frecarea? Acum stricati pajisti si masini. Puneti mana pe carte in puii mei.

Yes, you’re right. I get the message “4WD Overheating” very fast, especially if the car gets stuck and I am forcing it without moving very much. It happened in snow and mud as well.

I used to think the exact same, but for this winter I have to drive up a similar road to this everyday. The snow and the hill are as deep as this video too. The car only makes it up if I rev high like these people are, and will get stuck a bit sooner if I go slower.
