Why in Gods green earth isn’t this available anywhere but on CZcams???? 😭. Still has as much meaning today, for me, as it did when I was a teenager. I wonder what happened to that fantastic vocalist..
Fab song, performance, arrangement, production, bought it when it came out. Yeh, why didn't it do better, and worse why has it all but vanished? Well at least we've got todays richly inventive, imaginative, non-formulaic chart music to save us😒
THANK YOU ... I've a dodgy, approaching 30 year old "off radio" recording of this on compact cassette, which was later transferred to a CD compilation of "tracks to find", and about 8 years ago transferred again to a digital streamer. I probably haven't heard it or thought about it for 20 years or so, then, just last week, for some strange reason the song came into my head !!. Searching the web, there's nothing ! Nothing on iTunes, won't touch Spotify as a matter of principal, The Smirks own site (last updated in 2006 !!!!) has a vid, in mono !!!, with no bass !!!!!. Then you came to the rescue .... THANK YOU !. Actually I reckon this should be released again !!!.... Might do better than No 77 given another chance ... after all, Doreen has a great voice & delivers a brilliant heartfelt performance ....
Bliss. Bought the CD album. Bought another version of the album with an extra version of this. Bought the CD singles. Probably bought the 12" vinyl. Why didn't anyone else?

This song's timeless. Brought it all those years ago, wish more people had, it's a cut above
