3 seasons, 3 Champions Leagues, 1 La Liga, 2 Club World Cups, 2 European Super Cups, 1 Spanish Cup. And you throw him out for a guy who played for your rivals, and who was signed to please the press. There was no reason to sign Courtois. Keylor would have been our GK till the next decade. Height of disrespect from Perez and Madrid towards a loyal servant who has given his all for the club. One of the most shameful moments of Madrid's history, this incident doesn't make me proud as a Madrid fan.

Well said , Real Madrid tends to treat the whole team with lack of respect. There was no need to waste money on a GK that is 95 % less capable of performing like navas does .
Florentino Perez and the rest of the directors and board have no integrity, respect or honor. I've realized this a long time ago. Navas is not the first casualty and not even the biggest. Remember Robben and Sneijder who had to make way for the new Galacticos? That season it was Robben and Sneijder who led their respective teams to the Champions League final whilst Real Madrid crashed out in the Last 16 against Lyon. Then the next casualties were Raul and Guti, then Kaka, Ozil, Di Maria, CASILLAS, Xabi Alonso, James Rodriguez, RONALDO and now Navas and Isco. Not to mention firing Ancelotti and not instilling confidence in Zidane that his position didn't come with ultimatums which is why he made the decision to leave on a high rather then get fired eventually.
@@ShortsMaster01111 Yeah but despite the few blunders navas might have had over multiple seasons he has saved our mediocre defense on multiple occasions, and what i really respect about navas is when he does mess up you really see how sad he feels about it, apologizes to the fans and promise to do better ... the man is really loyal to the badge but sadly i dont think our president or higher ups really care lol. I won't bash courtois as he's one of our players but maaaan he's been a damn mess so far, hope he can get it together though cause i don't want to see navas losing his spot to another player who isn't outperforming him.

Keylor Navas is underappreciated. He had a rough start at Madrid but kept fighting until he reached his prime in season 2017/18. I don't understand why they bought Courtois. Madrid treats Navas like they treated Cassillas. I hope moves to PSG and can show is class there. He's a dedicated down to earth goalkeeper with insane skills
