It's just that they haven't grown up yet as sorcerers and humans.
I love that Sukuna is such a compelling villain who is also JUST evil. No sympathetic backstory, no grey morals. He is just pure malice, self-interest, charisma, and overwhelming power.
I love those villains who are don’t hide behind a sob story or some revenge quest. Just pure proud evil like Frieza, another one.
More like we dont really know about his backstory at this moment

playful cloud is one of toji's weapons btw, geto kept them after taking the curse then gojo got it after geto died and he lends them out to the students

That weapon was originally the property of Toji. Maki and the others were using it without permission.
Not really without permission to be fair, toji died and his worm willingly went to geto then geto died and gojo took ownership of playful cloud even though it rightfully belonged to the zen'in clan, and gojo lending it to Maki pisses the zen'in clan off more which he finds funny
It actually belong to Gojo’s clan. Stolen by Toji, it was claimed by the Zenins after his death but Gojo moved some influences to get it back. Then Geto stole it before JJK 0, and Satoru retrieved it after the death of his friend. He finally gave it to Maki later on but she doesn’t like to use it since it re,I es her that It was the weapon that almost got her killed.

Sam, the what if Toji was still around when Jogo popped up, has been one of the biggest What If’s talking points in the fandom. So your not alone in that thought.
Yeah, cuz we've seen what jogo can do, he's REALLY strong, but he's just gotten packed up by the literal best in the verse. I think jogo takes it tho, cuz of his domain. Toji, especially zombie toji, can't stop the domain's can't miss attack, so he'd have to tank it or maunally over-power it. It took Toji a while, with Playful Cloud intact, and Megumi stopping the can't miss to widdle down Dagon's HP. And jogo is stronger than dagon, with unavoidable flame attacks.... yeah I just don't see it happening for Toji. A fully prepared Toji is pretty dead-even, and the whole... "if it hit" attack (just in case anime only people read this), Toji could probably dodge too.

@@mozyluvsuyooooo, I forgot about that part. Yeah, I think Toji could take it then. Jogo might be able to zone to a degree, Jogo set up those flame traps pretty quick and toasted Naobito. But Naobito can’t make changes to his movement path, and… a certain other heavenly pact user was able to keep up with that technique. And that person was clearly stated to not be on Toji’s level at the time. Also Jogo was never really known to be too intelligent either. I don’t know if it’s stomp territory, cuz disaster curses can take a lot of punishment. I’d say out of 10 fights I’d give Toji 7/10.

24:00 Yeah a lot of ppl forget how powerful Jogo actually is. Yeah he got low diffed by Gojo but everyone gets low diffed by Gojo 1V1. Remember in season one it's said that Jogo is equivalent to 8 of Sakuna's fingers. (It only took 3 to beat a special grade curse.)
Don't take that statement that literal. Geto said it was generous. And seeing the fight it seems like Sukuna is quite a bit stronger than Jogo.
Jogo is easily top ten.
His bad luck was facing top one and two.
But his power difference compared to other sorcerers is huge.
This episode was a rollercoaster, even for someone who has read the manga

This arc to me, as a manga reader, is a hall of fame shonen arc. Up there with Frieza Saga, Soul Society, Chuunin Exams, Dark Tournament, etc. It's the first new shonen arc to break into that status.
The most horrendous thing ever done in jjk is the fact that granny dared to summon Toji while her grandson was wearing those devious BAF1's of his. Granny did some demon shit and didn't even realized 😭😭
Sam was torturing Morgan and Dani by going back to the Nanami and Maki footage 😅😅😂. When I watched this episode when it first aired, I know sweet Morgan wasn’t ready for it. My heart hurts for her.

The two girls only survived jogos attack because they used one the girl's phone camera ability to escape. Jogos showing up right after the octopus dragon got killed and Toji left with megumi is just the WORST luck 💀💀💀
Or the best - I'm thinking that Toji might have saved Megumi there. Since Megumi would have likely become the first target for Jogo to take out, being the only one who can deploy a Domain

Jogo is the fastest of the disaster curses, and he might actually have been able to dodge at least 1 hit from Toji - especially considering that the Playful Cloud has already been ripped to pieces at that point.

You guys definitely did pick up on them being injured possibly affected Toji's selection (or it could be sensing the ability Megumi has). In the manga it actually had a line when Jogo attacked where it explained how awesome Naobito was and then ended almost like it was mocking him by saying: "But that was when he had both arms"
Sukuna is why this arc is called Shibuya Incident. Next episodes are insane. The depression and despair has only begun.

well I think Naobito is at least alive because when Jogo hit him with the fire he didnt say "third one down" yet. After that he walks up to his body, puts his hand on his chest and says "third one down" as if hes going to burn him with his palm like he did Nanamin and Maki but before he does it he senses Sakuna and runs off.
First rule of fiction - don't believe a character's death until you see a dead body. And even after that, sometimes

The reason the old lady summoned him was cause this situation shouldnt have even been a factor. She didnt take into account that tojis total lack of cursed energy would react very differently with her technique
Playful cloud(weapon) is quite unique, because its power is dependant on raw strength of user instead of curse energy level. Thats why it was given to Maki in the first place, and thats why Toji took it back.

Damn! This episode was everything I wanted and more. From seeing Toji be an absolute beast and bodying Dagon to Sukuna being the monster of legend just brutally slicing and dicing everything. Such damn good characters and it really shows the difference in power between those two and everyone else. But why couldn’t Toji wait a second longer until Jogo got there 🤦🏻♂️ I can’t buy that we lost Nanami, Naobito and Maki like that. And what’s with that deal Sukuna offered Jogo? 🤨 Don’t know what’s going on and I love that. Can’t wait to see more of the madness that’s to come 👹

Not a coincidence, Dagon is an entity in H.P. Lovecraft's mythos and the title of one of his novel. They are a Old One and a sort of fish god, obviously the JJK character is a direct reference.

Gojo is the only character in the series aside from Sukuna that is aware of the fact that Sukuna has already made a pact with Yuji. Gojo just doesn’t know the details of the pact due to one of the condition’s being that Yuji forgets about the pact. One of the other conditions is that Sukuna cannot harm other people during his brief time of full control over Yuji’s body. However it’s Sukuna we are talking about and I’m plenty sure he has all sorts of loopholes and contingency plans and fucked up ideas lmao
