    Legendary uploads for light-jockeys on a shoestring budget, and pretty much what I need to know without bs. Thank you man, you rock! Im hoping my new aquisition will be addressed in one of your future video as well (request eh) : the F2750 3D RGB laser. It costs about € 100,- on aliexpress and it's a true and nice RGB laser. It has max 20kpps galvo's, 25 degree angle, 1900 patterns, 34 chns DMX, and the total of 500mw lasers is bright enough for a small party. There are stronger versions for a bit more €€€ too. It's rediculously cheap. (PS anyone who's interested can pm me for an aliexpress link - that I don't earn money with btw). Thanks for the video's!

      Hi- You can control most functions of the Intimidator 255 with DMX values (including the pan and tilt) so you can definitely program an Obey 70 to control it. Make sure the starting address on the 255 is set the same as the Obey 70. Channels 1 and 2 control the pan and fine pan and 3 and 4 control the tilt and fine tilt. Hopefully that helps. • @LearnLizard
      @LearnLizard  Před rokem

      Hi- Most lasers like this will work without a DMX controller. Typically you would go into the menu controls and sect "auto function" where they will cycle through their patterns. Many will also have a "sound" mode that will advance the patterns in sync to any music with a strong beat. Hope that helps and thanks for watching!

    • @LearnLizard
      @LearnLizard  Před rokem

      In order to do that you would put the lasers in DMX mode and use a "sound active" function on your DMX controller. (the Obey 40 and many other controllers have this feature although the results may not meet your expectations) The best way is to use a software controller that can trigger scenes with audio or MIDI (which is a common feature) Appreciate you watching!

It works with all the different patterns and so on. But the other channels 2, 3, 4, etc do nothing. What do you think is the problem. I adjust channel one to a different number setting like you show but it keeps going through all the sequences and doesn't stop. There is no control over this.

Have you tried setting the DIP switch on the laser to 33 and seeing if it works on fixture 2? Wish I could be more help.

      Hi- I don't have an Obey 4 to do a demo with, but most of the functions on all of the Chauvet Obey controllers are similar to the Obey 40 so hoping some of my videos like this one might be of some help to you.

    Hello. How can I make this lasers become a one line laser. Like science project lasers. Is there any mode available or any possibility to make this. Only a single line, single color.

      Appreciate your kind words! I upgraded my wireless setup to a DMXKing eDMX1 pro interface which is a big improvement over the LightMouse one. Here's a video on it:

    Hello. Great video from 2015! Do you have a Laser System that is inexpensive that you would now recommend in 2021? I am looking for something just to have fun with once ina while. Thanks! - Scott

    Can you enlarge the circle patterns?

    • @LearnLizard
      @LearnLizard  Před 3 lety

      Yes- DMX value 10-14 increases the size of the circles in both Static and Dynamic pattern mode. Thanks for watching!

    Steve, You are amazing. I love your tutorials! Im definitely a huge fan and have already made plans to get quite a bit of DMX equipment. THANK YOU! If you have time, could you do a tutorial on how to program moving lights that sort of swivel? Im curious if a console with a joystick is necessary for this?

    What kind of laser that I could use for Christmas light show

    • @LearnLizard
      @LearnLizard  Před 2 lety

      Hi- I think you would want to get a laser that displays Christmas animations. If you have the budget, this is an amazing laser with lots of different animation choices:

    can i reprograme sound active mode?

    • @LearnLizard
      @LearnLizard  Před 4 lety

      The sound active mode on this laser is pretty basic. You put it in sound active by configuring the position of the DIP switches on the back. There is only one mode which randomly cycles through patterns to the beat of the music that the microphone detects. That being said, it really works pretty well and looks good for shows.

    I have one of those lasers too. I hate it. It is so limited. I wish I'd gotten a better one with more functionality. I wanted one that you could control each laser color separately

    • @LearnLizard
      @LearnLizard  Před rokem

      You actually CAN control the level of the lasers with this one, (there is only green and red) but agree its functions are pretty limited. For just a little more $ you can get one that does simple animations like this: czcams.com/video/q5NmXEjOEU8/video.html
