Robert Powell still has an extraordinary voice and wonderful eyes.
Not much of a Manchester accent there.
He was defiantly the right person to play our Lord as his voice is amazing x

I first came across Robert Powell around 12 years ago through "Jesus of Nazareth", then "The 39 Steps", and then the wonderful narration he has done for documentaries on various years in the 20th century. Very much enjoy his calm, elegant, and erudite narration!
Calm, composed and interesting to hear.
He may be the narrator for many books but to me
his voice will always be associated with the many History
and Military History programmes he has done that I
have watched again and again.
Especially in the series
(WW2 In Colour)
I could listen to his voice all day, everyday!

Robert Powell is a brilliant actor. His portrayal of Jesus Christ was exceptional. In fact he brought me to Jesus - my Jesus. He has a beautiful voice, highly intelligent 💖 and we'll read. He was also a humble and pleasant person. I have alot of respect for him. And he is a versatile actor

I purchased the Durkin Hayes production of Frederick Forsyth’s “The Shepherd” read by Robert Powell on audio cassette twice . . . and twice I wore the tape out. Several times since then I’ve tried to listen to Alan Maitland’s very popular reading the same story that was played on WLS in Chicago every Christmas Eve for years. Unfortunately, with all due respect to Mr. Maitland I’ve never been able to listen long enough to get the little de Havilland Vampire into the air.
That’s simply because, being intimately familiar with Powell’s performance I have to say Maitland’s was all wrong. I would give anything to hear Robert Powell’s reading this thrilling short story again. He transported me From RAF Celle in lower Saxony across the North Sea to the fictional RAF Minton in one of the most harrowing flights ever with astonishing realism and I remember each detail as if I have just finished experiencing it myself.

There's no Jesus Christ picture on this earth when he ascend. This person is just an actor he might not be a believer, let us be wise.
Blay ........ yes he is only an actor playing the part of Jesus, but I have seen an interview with him and he said he does believe in Jesus. People should not worship any actor playing the part of Jesus or decorate their homes with their image. There is only one true Jesus and he sits at the right hand of God.
