  • Hi everyone!
Introducing (at long last) my lovely other half. I did have to bribe him to do this video but I hope you’ll all find his insight useful.

Thank you both for doing this video. My husband has really struggled to find dad content to help him on our adoption journey, so we’ve found this really helpful.

Thank you both! It was so nice to hear a dad's POV - all the lovely UK adoption mums like yourself know so much about theory and learning, and are so great at sharing that, but I was starting to panic that we had to be therapists and attachment gurus first. Sam has reminded us it's okay to be regular humans (still with adoption specific knowledge obvs) and be great adopters, I was also worried I had to be the same as you amazing mums to succeed, but maybe I can still be me after all :) . This has also been reassuring for my civil partner Dan who was overhearing all you amazing women and secretly freaking out! Thank you both and thank you sam! Also question: I am overwhelmed by the podcasts, please recommend some good ones! :D your channel is amazing and has already taught me so much, thank youuu!

Oh bless you and your partner. None of us have it together honestly! We certainly aren’t pros and are just navigating it all day by day - the theory goes out of the window at times 😂 I’ve shared your lovely comments with Sam - he is chuffed!

I love how you share your experience as parents but don't expose your child and his story! We've just started the doption journey, thanks for the good tips and info I've been getting from your videos, it's taken some pressure away!

Thank you for this video! My husband is similarly more interested in the idea of podcasts and videos rather than reading books. Do you have any podcasts you can recommend? X

Do you have a list of podcasts that Sam listened to? I'm in a similar position as a prospective father of an adopted child. Being able to take in some extra knowledge during my comunte would be amazing.
