Nemesis has to be one of my favorite boss battles of all time. I love the feeling of helplessness through the second phase and the falling platforms. Such great design

FINALLY beat the 3rd boss today. Housemarque did an amazing job on this game, I don't even play games like this but I've been hooked since day one!

The first 3 stages of grieve are the hardest. Once you get past those, its easier to recover from trauma.
The lady in this game was fighting manifestation of her grief due to the trauma of causing the death of her daughter in the car crash.
The minions are the anger she constantly feels and the unhappiness in her life.

I just realized. One of Ixion arm is a scythe, impaled in his body. At 9:10 he litterally pull it out of his chest and start slashing Selene with it.

Just beat the 3rd boss nemesis by watching ur video once. Just running left n right. Easy. I only had full health bar nothing else. 3rd round don't be afraid to fall coz there's always a platform u can swing to!

To fight bosses again restart the cycle.
Beat Nemesis with half health on my first try. I'm not even that good and I tried all the other bosses multiple times. That was a great moment.
I beat him my first try too, but I was geared out. epic boss fight.

both endings are kind of the real endings. Because in the true ending, you see the ending from the other point of view. Therefore, you need to see both in order to fully understand it

all these bullethell bosses are a great test,
just gonna mention the first 4 tho cuz thats how far ive gotten
phrike is a good starter boss, simple attacks and a good reaction slap attack,
ixion has a very precision based fight, with how stupidly evasive they are in addition to the amount of projectiles they send out,
nemesis is a test of the hook ability the player has collected, in addition to just improvisation with how unpredictable the platforms and such are.
and hyperion is a test of overall skill, with the evasiveness, spatial awareness, and amount of bullets they send your way (plus the music in their fight is too good for me not to get distracted by it)
havent seen the other bosses until now.

Man im lucky i have this game its freakin amazing nothing like ive played before mixed with doom before eternal shit just kept getting better n better i love the guns they made memorizing enemies that shoot while u go farther in the game still mb like almost half way i guess n dayum having a blast

This is why the publishers should just stick with exclusives. Not for all platforms releases. Just make it special for the consoles.

This game feels like such a cocktease. Fun gameplay, cool weapons, decent loot system, but then there's literally zero replayability once you beat the game. There's no ascension mode, no challenges, etc. This game needed a lot more content for the AAA price tag.
Based on the nature of the game I’m not really sure what else they could do here. They couldn’t add in an endgame since you don’t keep anything really. I’d say the game is highly replayable though given the procedural generation of the worlds, and I get the rooms are mostly the same just in different orders, but if you like the combat each run can feel like a new take. And they do have a challenge terminal you unlock in the ship, where you can participate in daily challenges. Maybe adding some kind of arcade mode could be something. I don’t know. I’m curious if they will release any dlc for this game:
@@mandrews6282 they are apparently working on dlc but that's not the point. The roguelite genre encourages a lot more content in the game, plus increasing difficulty modes for players who like challenge. There's no real replayability in the game atm.
@@smellypatel5272 I’m just not sure what else they could have added. What were your ideas? I mean you can’t keep your stuff on any run past level 3, and that leaves you with 3 biomes to work with for an endgame. And adding new levels without adding more story doesn’t work. All I could think of was an arcade style mode but that is the daily challenge with high scores and leaderboards. Maybe a more robust version than a one a day? I mean you already have to go through the game twice to get through act 3 and get the real, or some say secret ending and the 6th house sequence. So you have to play it twice just to beat the game. The platinum trophy is the real challenge mode though. To get that, you need to play through each biome a lot of times hoping for datalogs and glyphs to spawn to collect them all. And you must complete all 6 challenge rooms, one in each biome. And those rooms are challenges in themselves. To truly complete this game you have to beat it multiple multiple times. So I’m not sure what else they could add that would add to this. Games can have roguelike elements and not work with any endgame style material.

@@vexruby5619 never really played dark souls but heard it was difficult and if you die you basically lose everything and that’s exactly what happens in this game once you die no matter what world/ dimension you’re in you go to the start (the crash site) with none of ur equipment besides permanent upgrades with no saves and if you play for a very long time and u end up closing the application you go from the start and lose all your stuff so better to play until you die
See, this is the sort of game I'd LOVE to play, if it didn't cost so much to actually play it.
~£500 for the console, and £70 for the game. and that's assuming you can even find the damn console in the first place.

I could definitely see this one coming to PC. Especially considering Sony is more interested in porting it’s properties to PC. Prob not for at least another year or two unless they change strategy. They seem to be easing into PC releases by delaying them out. I mean Days Gone was like 2 years before it went to PC so the timeframe is getting shorter.

Crazy part is bro he’s not even that good and he beat it! It just takes some serious determination and you have to adapt and think on the flash. This guy got through the whole game too when it looked like he didn’t know if you press circle down longer, you dash for a longer time/ are invincible for a longer time

Why do people always seem to label something as a discount version of another game? This is the first shot by these devs at a AAA game of the genre they specialize in and they did very well. Don’t compare them to square enix who have been making AAA games since the early 2000s.
Wouldn’t say discount game at all, I’m a big big fan of nier, and personally I think these bosses are much more interesting than all the bosses in nier.
