- Kyanite is a fairly common aluminum mineral which is found in high grade metamorphic rocks. Yet, this mineral, when it occurs as a blue color, can be a prized gemstone. #short #shorts #kyanite

It's hard to mine, as it's only found in the inactive lava zones.
I'd like a Manual C5, in Kyanite blue
A required mineral to complete Subnautica
I’ve been looking for this to upgrade my prawn suit, thanks!
Two polymorphs of kyanite (they have the exact same chemical composition, but differing crystal orientations) are sillimanite and andalusite.
Also Chiastolite are crystals, which are andalusite containing cross-shaped inclusions of carbon.
Also part of the KAS kyanite-Andalusite-sillimanite triangle of metamorphism
That rocks!
Beautiful!
Subnautica gang rollin up to this comment section
I have a shard of Kyanite as part of a geologic collection I ordered from Amazon. It has a striking blue color but it's predominantly embeded in a brown rock.
Subnautica moment
Thanks!
Wow that is a lovely shade of blue
I wish I never stopped collecting rare rocks, gems, and ores… it was a fun childhood hobby that got away from me
Wow, I've never seen a jewel-quality kyanite before! Amazing stuff!
Looks amazing! I would love to find something even close to that one day lol… great content 👍🏼
Cool! But don’t try to scratch the mirror in the men’s room with that ring since this seems to say holding your ring in the wrong orientation would render the glass harder than your $100 / karat ring!
I use this stone like a sword to cut energy cords.
Kryptonite!
There is an apple green variety...
Peace.
Willis mountain here in VA is being mined flat for it's kyanite. Evidently you can make high temperature ceramics with kyanite, sad.
i have found many of these near the gotthard region in switzerland:) but non of my rocks is as big as these
What you're looking at is a $1m kyonite.
Cool... A friend of mine gave me a big sack of the blue stuff... Some of it is pretty good quality. I've got some other specimens that are an apple green. I've been told the green stuff isn't nearly as common.
Peace y'all.
I do not know how many of my videos you watch but in several of my videos I am wearing a necklace I made with a kyanite wire wrap. So to make a long story short I found this at the hog farm and they told me their lost and found was closed down so I kept it and have worn it in many videos and it is the blue type you showed
Sorry for context, the hog farm is a place they used to have a hog farm and now have music festivals and the event included a thing where you could bring a crystal or rock and have it wrapped in wire to make into a pendent and that is what I found on the ground, someone's pendent.
Why is it not blue most of the times?
As long as its not Blue Asbestos.
That's easy for you to say
Very pretty 😮😊😊😊😊😊
Clear quartz geode price per kg please ❤❤❤❤
Beautiful!
