Cynthia's theme is such a banger, it's not even fair. Cynthia is also just such a cool character, she is so strong and yet still a nice person (despite what the Internet's fear of her might imply :P) Definitely one of my favorite champions, for sure!

I love that this version includes the pre-battle track. I've never been particularly fond of her actual battle theme (middle of the pack for Champion themes personally) but the intro is definitely my favorite piece of music in D/P/PT.
I mean, Hell, the composers for Legends Arceus seem to somewhat agree. Since they turned that intro into (a WAY more PTSD inducing) boss theme for the true final boss....
I completely agree. I remember hearing an amazing battle theme remix of it in one of Mixeli’s videos and desperately trying to find the remix to no avail. And Legends Arceus did it justice by making it Volo’s battle theme.

This is seriously fun as hell. Sometimes a song just needs a little stank. It’s a simple cover, but not low effort or boring. I’ve listened to enough of your stuff to know it’s not lazy and you can pop off and get creative with your arrangements, but then you’ve got covers like this where you aren’t reinventing the wheel- just doing a kickass cover.
But it’s a musician’s cover. It being “simple” doesn’t mean you didn’t have fun messing with the DNA of the song a little in ways at least I really appreciate. God, I’m worried I sound insulting, but this is one of the highest compliments I feel I can give. I think a good way to express it is that your music is good and fun, but unpretentious. I never see you chase trends or use game music to Trojan Horse your own ideas into peoples playlists. I can tell you do this simply because you enjoy making music.
You’re one of those people whose covers I consistently finish jealously smiling over, either because of your wonderful execution or your clever little twists.
Anyway, I’m genuinely impressed and am always excited to see your new stuff drop.
Now we just need a full song for just the encounter theme instead of the fight. Awesome work as always

I'm gonna be honest, I beat Cynthia first try, I don't see why people find it so hard.
primarily due to when going in blind- chances are, the average player with the generic “sinnoh” team will be hard countered by her team. Either every one of her pokemon is either a glass cannon, or bulky tank (and then there’s garchomp) that took a lot of risk to face individually. It doesn’t help that since she uses “special” pokemon (I.e obtained using special methods besides the traditional leveling process), many players don’t know the type matchups and have to figure it out on the fly, if they went in blind. Spiritomb- no weakness, milotic- bulky but hits hard and has access to aqua ring
Garchomp + lucario - great type coverage and physical sweepers, while also being a higher level than the player assuming they didn’t power grind.
Roserade - toxic, strong special attacker
Togekiss- Flying tank built with HP EV’s and insane type coverage
tl;dr: team counters every starter/legendary and uses relatively unknown pokemon with great stat spreads/ev optimization that punishes players who don’t know the type matchup beforehand, as they will suffer from almost being OHKO by any of her sweepers granted you didn’t power level or go on too many side quests beforehand
