- In this Racer X Films video, Kris Keefer tests different Dunlop Motorcycle tires and compares different tires for different track conditions. Keefer rides and tests the 3S front, 33 front, and 53 front, as well as the 33 rear out at State Fair MX in Riverside, California. He also provides insight on the differences with each tire and gives his recommendations on setup depending on conditions (weather, type of dirt you ride, etc.). And remember, check your tire pressure regularly!

I spent a lot of time testing with Keefer, back in the Dirt Rider days. Super Cool head, very knowledgeable and fun to hang out with and has great style. The only issue he has, is that he's a Dolphin fan and they haven't had a team since the Marino days in the 80's. ;-O

33 is the best rear tire I've ever used....the 53 front is good but not perfect, could use slightly taller edges
I like the 53 for off-road front and back. The 33 rear for me is ok but on steeper rocky downhills the back swaps alot, but not with the 53. They last longer too than the 3s
I run a Mx 33 front and a mx34 on the back
Curious as to your opinion on the AT81 rear. Totally different tread pattern, carcass and profile than the 33. Dunlop recommends the AT81 for a good number of the GNCC races. I can’t decide which one works better for me
AT81 is good for our west. Get a soft terrain tire.
You like the 3s front better than the 34? I tried a mx33 front a couple rides recently and man that thing is GARBAGE! No front end feel, no traction and it didn’t like to lean in worth a crap on my Ktm. The 20 hour mx34 was still incredible even in the marbly loose dry conditions.

I don't think Kris Keefer understands riding east coast offroad. I don't have experience with the 53 front but the 53 rear didn't do well with wet east coast dirt.
