The female owner put over $200,000 into the business and only takes $2,000 a month while the male owner takes $8,000 a month???? and he didn't put any money into the business???? I'd get rid of him in a heartbeat!!!!

You can't be an owner if you didn't pay Jack shit in the first place, you are not the owner until you pay Kathy back every single penny you owe her. Tim is what's known as a family freeloader and I don't doubt for a moment he will swindle her further once she's gone. The fact he still manged to take home his normal amount and Kathy got an extra thousand is still shocking to me.
He in infuriated me, I'd have kicked him out and managed the salon on my own or paid from a real manager and given a set wage.
And she doesn’t even own her home. She is renting? Wtf? Is she in love with him or something? She can be out on the street if this business fails!
Can’t believe Mazi thought going out to market the salon was cheap, yet asking a client for a kiss wasn’t cheap.

Kathy seems like such a wonderful and giving lady! She gave some of the best customer service I've seen on this show! Her patience with Tim was just beyond what I would be willing to give such a greedy person. I honestly don't think it's going to work well without Kathy in the salon!
This one really set my hackles up. How do you call yourself an owner when you’ve not invested a penny into the business and then take an 8k wage whilst not paying the buyer back or investing any money back into the business
How is Tim taking home $96,000 a year and yet this isn’t covering his expenses. Either this is BS and he doesn’t want to pay Cathy back or he’s got some kind of serious addiction which is eating up his wage.
Wow, it’s clear Tim is taking advantage of Kathy, and it’s really unfair, however, how she has allowed that to happen is crazy to me, she needs to stand up for herself, nobody can do that for her.

I’ve had a few amazing haircuts at salons and was over the moon. I’ve had many awful haircuts, and was dejected. I cut my own hair now, and never had a bad haircut. I always seem to get the one with the bad attitude, like I don’t matter. I’m happy to cut my own hair now.

I find it very unprofessional and disgusting when stylists wear sleeveless shirts and their cleavage is on show (wear an apron to cover it). Nothing worse than having sweaty cleavage and armpits in your face while your getting your hair done.
Earning 8k a month is crazy money (especially for American wages). Most Australian salaries on the higher end of the tax bracket aren’t ’taking home’ 96k per year, in Australia that would mean he’s earning a salary of 135k per year, that’s a huge salary for a hairdresser that technically isn’t even the owner because he didn’t invest a single cent into that business.
$135,000 in Australia is a massive wage, in American that would be an enormous salary, that’s the salary a highly educated business executive would be earning, perhaps a bit more.
I say it’s an extremely high salary for American vs Australia because the minimum rate per hour in Australia is a lot higher than the US; the minimum wage for an adult in Australia is $23.23…an employer cannot pay an adult under $23.23 + this hourly rate is reserved for people in the hospitality/entry level type of jobs, most Aussies wouldn’t get out of bed for that.

How are American hairdressers trained??? Are there board approved qualifications? When I go in to get my hair done, cut and highlights, it doesn’t matter which salon I go into, I know how they are going to do it and what I would see as the basic skills are done in the same way and with a high level of ability
These ‘stylists’ on Tabatha look like they’ve been taught by a ten year old. They all do things in a different way and the hair looks like it’s been cut with a knife and fork
When I get foils done I’m always boggled at how quickly and expertly the stylist folds the foils. And they ALL can do it

Honestly it depends. There are salons where you pay per service, but also salons that have different prices for junior/senior stylists.
This episode gave me a different feeling Tabatha seemed different
