From day to day the final stage of the most important tournament in Ukraine - UFL will begin! We have literally a few days of training. Today's training we will shoot on the video and you will be able to see how the preparations for the main tournament are going.
Training is such an activity when you systematically go to all places. And for those you want, and for those that you do not want to exclude the places in which you need to be on the tour. Places where you find a fish, you get a bite of decent fish - you have to leave them so that they remain relatively untouched for fishing on the tour.
At today's training, my partner Sergei Bleskun and I decided to separate in different boats for greater efficiency, and of course at the end of the day we will share our experience with each other and look for a lot of similar things, because that's exactly what we had with him today similar - this is the most important.
As a rule, when pike fishing in autumn, first of all, it is necessary to understand where the pike of the right size is kept. Here I would probably have broken down into three floors horizons where you can find it. One horizon is a depth somewhere from 1 meter to 2. Usually it is such grassy watering with small windows with a rarer grass and in the autumn when the grass falls, a pike sometimes of decent size remains standing in such places. The second level where it is worth to look for and check - it's near the lying edges, small grooves, they usually have a depth of 3.5 to 5 meters. That is, if you imagine - it's here is a grassy field and there are grooves with depths 3-3,5-4,5 to 5 maximum. And in such grooves begins to fall down the pike. Well, the third horizon is where the largest pike often lives in autumn. This channel of the main river with depths of up to 12 meters and as a rule on such a channel become at a depth of 3-4-5 meters and throws into the depths of 10 to 12 meters. And a channeled pike, of decent size, is more likely to be there. But unfortunately it is single, and sometimes it takes a whole day to catch one fish, and it is not always possible to find it. Here are three such horizons as a rule I use to find a pike.
For catching in such horizons, I would like to talk more about baits. In the shallowest areas, in all horizons, you can catch both wobblers and silicones, but in smaller places in the fall, the wobblers with a depth of one meter, 1 meter, probably not the best, will probably show themselves best. In places where there are certain grooves with depths of 3.5-5 meters, then perhaps there you can use any pike baits - and ripple lie on the bottom and silicone to lead a step and the wobblers can be used with depths of up to 1.5 to 2 meters. As for the riverbed, there are certainly sinking wobblers with a large shovel, but silicone still predominates there, because a large pike is not always, but in most cases loves a large silicone with a large pause of decaying. She does not want to spend a lot of energy in the fall, so here is the bait that goes under her nose - the most effective perhaps.
Now there was an interesting moment, for some time the activity of the pike has decreased to zero. I again went back to the silicone and here in those places where I recently pecked at a wobbler, that's how it cut off. I decided to experiment because we have training. And that's where there is probably 4 times the wobbler, the pike responded to the silicone! Here and so in the course of fishing, during the same fishing in the same places the preference for pike changes. Therefore, when catching a pike, especially if you catch at shallow depths - from time to time you need to change silicone baits to wobblers.
