Everyone is welcome to my channel. However, if you're not over 40 you may NOT understand.
Midlife crisis is a shift in identity and self-assurance that can happen to people in their middle years, usually between the ages of 40 and 60. The condition is defined as a psychological crisis triggered by life experiences that draw attention to an individual's advancing years, impending death, and potential lack of achievements. This may result in extreme sadness, regret, and worry, as well as the desire to regain their youth, drastically alter their current way of life, or feel compelled to make amends for past choices and incidents. According to Vaillant (2012), research on midlife crises reveals that they are less prevalent than previously thought. During the course of his 75-year longitudinal study on adult development, he discovered that participants in the study had very few experiences with midlife crises. The phrase was coined by Elliot Jaques in 1965.
This channel is NOT about any kind of crisis.
