No reason other than laziness/lack of attention to detail, I guess. Same explanation as for why the pole weirdly remains blocked by Eggman's sprite even as he moves into the background.
@@PaxPredicate Regarding the pole... I think it's just that Eggman comes out of the wrong place, because in the Beta version he seems to come out the exact same distance from the left side as he does now, but the difference between then and now is the aspect ratio which causes that weird effect. They may have just moved the exact same code straight to this game without modifying it at all.
@@invisisolation they literally can't do that, it's more likely that they either overlooked it, or it's one of the rough edges that Sega didn't let them fix
You can see a hole at the Death Egg's bottom.
That's what it is.
I bet that somebody will make a mod about this for Sonic 3 A.I.R
it's on s3 air already
Its been one of the default options for A.I.R for a long while
@@Simply_sokoly I was talking about the eggman animation near the end
Huh. Things usually explode when they fall down like that. Good for you Eggman
This makes the transition much smoother to connect Sonic 3 and Sonic and Knuckles
OH MY GOD SONIC 3 COMPLETE CHANGES ARE CANON
i love how they handled this. It always felt a bit cheap that we didn't fight big arms as Sonic/Tails but Knuckles did. we got so many subtle changes to the game that were actually nice touches like Super/Hyper Sonic's sprite. when he looks up or is hanging from something he still has the spiked up quills.
Other than the way eggman's sprite is scaled going from the background to the foreground, I really like how the custom cutscene from sonic 3 complete made it into the game. Nice.
After 29 years, finally, they added that unused cutscene
Nice idea, but I'd definitely liked to have seen it with more time in the oven.
I like how when the death egg crashes into the mountain it’s the same scene from sonic and knuckles title screen
The BGM sounds like its being filtered through a model 3 genesis, the sound effects on the other hand sound really good. How did sega think this was acceptable
The Death Egg looks like the AT&T globe with two eyes and a Teddy Roosevelt mustache...
definitely getting the plus edition now
Taking notes from sonic 3 complete. Love that they used eggmans unused sprite from sonic 3. I also love how the sound of the death egg falling leads you to believe the s&k themes gonna play but nah. Thats so funny
I wonder why Eggman decides to return to the currently-falling-from-the-sky Death Egg
I had so much fear when I fought Big Arms cuz I remembered Super Sonic was hittable if grabbed. Thankfully they fixed it, and I have no fear anymore :)
this made origins price tag a bit more worth it
Hearing the death egg fall without it leading into the main theme sounds so wrong
gotta love how the death egg duplicates at the end
0:38 Tails: Sonic why did we do a 360 when we could’ve simply turn le- Sonic: shut up tails your parents adopted you
Nice nod to Sonic 3 Complete.
cant even play that, they overpriced it too much on brazil
alem por ser ruim
@@TheHedgehogest tu é BR???
Right now is better to just play the older ones... If amy is released i will buy it.
The music at 0:26 should've been the Sonic 3 ending fanfare music.
i was kinda expecting sonic to drop down like in the sonic & knuckles intro at the end there lol
LMAO THE SONIC & KNUCKLES TITLE SCREEN NOISE
I like that it’s there but the only issue is that the poles don’t connect (though maybe they aren’t suppose to and it’s suppose to look like it’s falling) and I wish they had used more of the sonic and knuckles title theme, not sure why they didn’t.
Also other issue, Eggman appears in front of the poles when he should be behind them
So can someone explain why the Death Egg went pear shaped just because Eggman's Big Arms machine was defeated? If something that massive went careening out of the sky just because a small platform got knocked off of it/lit ablaze, Egghead must have really cut some corners putting it back together.
Same reason why metal can be blown up by a hedgehog tapping it 8 times
0:51 I really thought I was going to hear the Sonic and Knuckles theme…
fun fact Eggman got rid of most of the goal posts to keep sonic from finding death egg in the special zone like Ivo Robotnik pre sonic 1
just some lore
This is much more better than Sonic 3 Complete. Because it actually feels more cinematic!
This is a Sonic 3 complete moment
This is also in the sonic 3 complete rom hack.
dang that's actually really cool
also they kept in big arms? nice
Well the Big Arm theme wasn't composed by Michael Jackson so it's safe even for a Remix by Cash Cash for Sonic Generations Nintendo 3DS Edition
@@MoyanoJerald no i meant the boss not the music
@@magepumpkin absolutely nothing in terms of level content was removed. only added.
@@Kaleidio in the original sonic 3 and knuckles they removed big arms for some reason
@@magepumpkin they didn't remove it, they just moved it only to knuckles's story for some reason
People want to rip so hard on the sonic 3 port just because of the music but overlook all these little quality of life improvements like this.
Nice, they made it from Sonic and Knuckles intro screen
They just commited a sonic 3 complete right here
I guess that cliff sonic and knuckles used to stand on got eroded
That's pretty nice 👍
This is actually perfect
