On my bucket list to go to Wilkes barre and take a picture with the mural
The mural is a masterpiece. Just think about how many people have walked past it, wondering what it's about, to then hear Title Fight's music for the first time. So sad i'll never get to take another picture in front of it! ):
The mural is going to be removed but I also heard that Ned doesn’t really mind. He stated in an interview/podcast that if it goes then it should go. Like it held significance for that period and we move on. Respecting that art is captured in a certain space and time. He said he wouldn’t care if it got old, crumbled, or was renovated in some way for that reason. What matters is how we feel or remember it, not necessarily keeping it preserved for the sake of significance. What ever way you look at it, it’s kind of a peaceful and humbling thought.
When is it going to be removed? I'll be in the area in a week

They're keeping it! Whoever was going to cover it up relented after community advocates got involved (including local business Coal Creative, who I currently work for).

Wish I had stuck around northeast Pennsylvania to discover these guys I was in a hard-core band that had success in the same area, but we were done by like 1995 give or take. I then moved to Philadelphia and was part of a different music scene out there but Northeast PA has such a incredible music scene when I was a kid that created so many great bands. I ended up about a year ago seeing glitter open for quicksand at my old drummer, told me that they were from our area so I’ve been on a deep dive ever since I really love and respect these guys as artist, and as individualsand I hope someday I get to see the other guys in the band create some different music as well. Very inspiring to an old guy like me.
