FAST FREDDY - Baddest C10 on the Planet?

- Fast Freddy; a crowd favorite, an OG of the Stockholm Open, and a Genuine Badass! Racing a Pro-Modded chassis of the vehicle his father picked him up from school in, Fast Freddy merges sentiment with serious SPEED. He bought this truck from his dad when he was 19 years old and he’s still enjoying it to this very day as it’s gone through transformation after transformation to become the BEASTLY C10 we see here today. Fast Freddy almost lost this truck to a shop fire, but thankfully the Drag Racing community came together yet again and within 4 months had Freddy’s shop, truck and trailer fixed and allowed Freddy to continue racing and chasing after his first ever 5 second pass!

Fredde is always a highpoint, I remember years ago he almost backed up as fast as he did go forward. Some others too. It was almost a competition in itself in Pro Mod. burnout a cross the finish line, and then backup and in prestage before the competitor, at times even before the competitor had even started backing up. After a while the high speed in reverse was cut down on, understandably I guess. The burnouts got shorter also. But Pro Mod is absolutely the most entertaining class to watch probably, especially with drivers like Freddy that never goes off, no matter how sideways it goes!
I have always admired his truck.

oh man what a great guy! He earned that 5 hands down!!! To me that's mind blowing going that fast... and the fact that his garage burnt down yet somehow he managed to get it going again is proof we can do anything with a lil help and elbow grease!!!

Saw freddy and his team at tierp in 2022 one of them were painting a impala in the pit, it actually looked pretty good too despite being painted outside. Deffenetly a wild bunch

It gave me chills watching that. I love that gen C10. I'm more of a fleetside guy, but still have love for the step sides. I want to eventually build one with a streetable 600 hp TT engine.

There was a guy (ironically with the same name as me) who used to race a Pro Mod Chev pick up in PSCA. I think the truck ran in the low 6’s so it does appear fast Freddie is slightly faster.
I found a link of this truck doing a burnout and am attaching it. I saw it this truck run at Famoso about 10 years ago. I went up to the guys in the pits and showed them my drivers license but they wouldn’t let me drive it. 😉
