4.18.23 I liked the intro explaining the problem. Will you do a video on fixing the water pump? To bad could not locate a replacement part on time. If knew how to do 3d printing could one have made the part? One would think JB weld would hold. What do you think the Varg will be like on getting parts? Cloudy and rain expected not good. Maybe should have not done this event. Did you take a detour off the track? On the map looks like were adding to the course. In the beginning looked dry. How did you get the outline of the course before the race started? Had a good lead over tom on the beginning of lap 2.

Probably will not do a video on replacing the water pump. I think it will be very straightforward. Just disconnect the hoses and an electric connection and it slides right out.
I might have been able to make a 3d part to replace what broke if I had the 3d printer, but the JB Weld did hold ok. It just quit turning and pumping. I am thinking that there was an extra washer or something that fell out during the last race that I did not know about when I put it back together that caused it to fail. I did not have a schematic of the pump so it is impossible to tell. I have no idea what the Varg will be like on getting parts, but we can only be optimistic. :-)
Yes, Tom and I made a wrong turn as I pointed out in the text on my video. A ribbon was down, but it was marked pretty well. I just need to pay more attention instead of following the racer in front of me. And yes, we did add to the course, as you could see on the GPS map. LOL
I am using a program that I wrote myself that I call GPS2Video to create the GPS Overlay/Map. I got the outline of the course by adding that feature to my program.
I did have a good lead at the beginning of lap 2, but I was having a lot of shutdown problems on the hills due to overheating since the pump had failed. I’m not sure if you can tell, but I took out some of that footage. No sense having video of me being frustrated at an issue of my own making. There was no way I could keep a good pace with it shutting down like that.
