"We Are All We Need" is an an album that places human relationships at its core, and explores the experiences and emotions that bind us - whether on defiant ode to friendship “We’re All We Need”, the anthemic “Blue Sky Action” or the possessive, post break-up tension of “Sticky Fingers”. As with 2011's "Group Therapy", Above & Beyond have worked with Andrew Bayer on the production of the album, which features 16 tracks including vocal collaborations with Zoë Johnston, Alex Vargas and Justine Suissa.
Above & Beyond commented: “As the writing process unfolded we kept noticing a recurring theme. Zoe hit it on the head with the beautiful song “We’re All We Need” and, after a minute’s thought, we had our album title. It’s very Above & Beyond and feels to us like a development of Group Therapy: you are most certainly included in our ‘We’!”
No song on the album embodies these themes more than the aforementioned title track "We're All We Need", sung beautifully by Zoë Johnston.

Partners, family, etc. Nice little synth behind it. Again, it's perspective but a lot of people experience abuse and this is an anti abuse song so it gets nine thumbs up from me.

Zoe excels as a vocalist and lyricst. Her lyrics are always so beautiful, creative and thoughtful in a unique way...and her VOICE is so special and one-of-a-kind.
The 293 dislikes are inexplicable to me....this track is PERFECTION....further cementing the idea that electronic music is today's version of classical music...these three musicians are incredible and Zoe Johnston's voice is angelic....incredible emotion and passion in this track....sums up life for me and makes me want to hug my wife and daughter while realizing how blessed we all are to have one another....absolute perfection.....

2021 and still going strong. I loved this tune years ago and I still love it today.
I wish I could be young again (now 26) and able to see all the friends we’ve lost in the years from OD’s (in Vancouver Canada) It’s like some bad dream raving with friends one weekend only to grow up and find out those best friends are long gone. You are all you really need. Pack the car head on the road to somewhere and see what life has to offer. As I’ve always figured we all have places to be and people to see. Life is endless if you make it so!
Wow, who knew trance lovers were so snobby?! So many negative comments. This is a great track - Zoe's soulful, haunting voice complements the dance track. This album has a lot of great music & is a step up from the Group Therapy album.

When this plays it sends me back in time. I'm looking at my younger myself wishing I had made those decisions to travel, to see what was out there. It also reminds me of how selfish I was. I started listening to Above & Beyond in 2009, and Thing Called Love was my favourite record at the time. I was young, and didn’t understand love, and felt left out that I never experienced it, while my peers had partners. Tony said it’s the most important thing in life, on one of those screen quotes at one of the gigs, and I started to believe I’m unlovable.
Fast forward to 2015, when I first heard We’re All We Need on premiere day, loving the second drop and the lyrics on the warmest, clearest 6pm sun that year. It was the transcendence of emotion through a light yet a powerful lift. And the last verse where the record begins to mellow down, „ most certainly I’m where I’m supposed to be in the melting sun, with you I am free” became a prophecy of things to come.
In 2017, it came by surprise. I fell head over heels in love with what felt effortless. It felt right. We went to see A&B at the o2 in London, and this was the moment I knew. Because she was the one and only to go with the flow. I invited her to see guys she’d never heard of. And we we’re all we needed, we had our own world, but in the end she broke my heart.
I come back to this song now in pain, but hopeful that I may find love again, and again, I believe, that most certainly, I am where I’m supposed to be.

It's kind of amazing how trance at its best can be both emotional and beautiful at the same time that it's purely dance music. This track always manages to make me tear up, because Zoë Johnston's vocals are so convincing in how sad she sounds.

This song randomly played on our way from Arizona to Salt Lake City Utah to see them live, it played perfectly near the Sedona area with the red clayish sand landscape a little further in near Zion canyon we actually got a ticket for speeding lool which my best friend and I both split the cost. Suck, but the officer was very kind and lowered the cost. We have no regrets, if only we would repeat that entire week all over again.

Was a bit worried after Sticky Fingers and Hello, but i shouldn't have been. A&B still have it! Can't wait for the club mix.
I find it really interesting the different way people think - I really liked sticky fingers, didnt like hello and for me, this is good but not amaze. Doesnt have the emotional hit or journey you get from Sun & Moon or resonance that you get from good for me. I reckon this would smash it as an acoustic track (which I am sure it is how it started).

An A&B fan since the tri-state days. Used this track as my wedding video sound track. The joy and happiness that A&B along with Zoe's beautiful voice brings is second to none. Above & Beyond never disappoints and always deliver songs that gives you chills and takes you on a journey of euphoria. Yes they have changed their style a little over the years, but they still continue to make fantastic songs regardless and songs like this just proves it and Zoe voice is so angelic and perfect, made the song that much better
I wonder how many people under the age of 25 will recognise that this video is paying homage to the film "Thelma and Louise?" Everything from the movie is in the video, albeit condensed down to 4 minutes or so. Pretty amazing film, so if you have not seen it, watch it!!!

I just heard this for the first time this morning on BPM and immediately recognized her voice. From above and beyond's No one on Earth. I love her voice, I love the harmony, I love the beat. I also celebrated my father's 71st birthday yesterday without him, he's been gone 10 years. He showed me what music was and he taught me what love is.
