1) In the prophecies that speak about Jesus of Bethlehem in the Old Testament, it says that Jesus comes in the name of HIS God Jehovah [Micah 5:4]
And he [Jesus] will shepherd with the strength of Jehovah and that is what Jesus said in revelation [Revelation 19:15]. And that is what Jesus and his disciples said [Matthew 21:9, John 5:43]
2) When Jesus was born his parents gave offerings to Jehovah to fulfill the law: Every firstborn shall be holy to Jehovah [Luke 2:23, Exodus 13:2, Colossians 1:15]
3) The apostles died preaching that Jehovah God the Father, the God of Abraham, the God of their ancestors raised their firstborn Jesus [Acts 5:30, Acts 3:13-19, Galatians 1:1]
4) Jesus said that the Father is the God of Israel and the Holy Spirit prophetically that the God of Israel is the Most High [John 8:54, Luke 1:67,76]

It's because Adonijah self-proclaimed himself as king eventhough his father designated his brother Solomon as the rightful heir that is why he made two attempts to seize the throne and for his treachery he paid the ultimate prize of his life.
And Solomon's son Rehoboam who reigned long after King David's death, built defense cities in Judah, one of them being Bethlehem 2 Chronicles 11/2-6. There was no Bethlehem Judah until long after David died, Judah didn't receive Bethlehem in its inheritance in Joshua 15/1-63. Noteworthy Rachel died on road from Bethel to Ephrath which is Bethlehem it was a short distance see Genesis 35/19 Also Genesis 48. In Bethel and it's towns ie Bethlehem lived the sons of Joseph 1 Chronicles 7/20-29 so King David was the house of Joseph
