Same, but Belos also reminds me of Frollo from the Hunchback of Notre Dame. They both have that “I took you in when no one else wanted you and you wanting to do something I don’t agree with is the thanks I get” king of manipulation.

I love both versions of the song but the fact you chose the reprise works so much better its so good, aside from the fact the first manipulation tactic in the first song is a tad too fear mongering for Canon Belos (with it being aimed at lies Hunter would've seen already) , the idea of Hunter getting a little more doubtful is smth that is currently happening and oaaaoa this feels like smth he'd do as a final test or punishment
I think it would still work to a degree, since Belos did keep Hunter isolated from his peers and other adults all his life

So, Trans Hunter AU. Hear me out. Belos is being condescending to Hunter by referring to Hunter with things like “Miss”, and “She”, and such. And yes, I am aware that homophobia is not technically a concept in The Demon Realm, but Belos is from Earth, 1600’s and such. It is feasible.
