I love the idea that as soon as Indie finds out there's no trap, he IMMEDIATELY takes out a cigarette to celebrate BEFORE he's even made it out of the temple
I think he took it out to help him calm down, seeing as he was very nervous just a few seconds prior.

My only problem is that even if it is era appropriate, why would an archeologist smoke tobacco in an ancient ruin??? Not only are the ashes going to stay there, but doesn’t the smoke of tobacco cause build up over time? Like, nothing against the video because it was freaking beautiful with the cinematography and the era accuracy, but that was my only real complaint

@@xxchargerxx2050 True, very true, but the fact of the matter is it’s still present. Doesn’t help that he left the butt in the ruin (it was a funny joke in the video, but still wrong for an archeologist to do).
Might seem weird, but my favorite kind of ASMR is where someone is thinking and doing things that require thought. It's nice to not have to think and have someone else do it for you. Puzzles, art, analyzing an ancient artifact, etc.

This is why I love your videos. There is no tapping just for the sake of tapping- every sound and movement you make has reason and purpose behind it- inspecting a treasure, showing off a piece of merchandise, using a machine to make something, ect.. And massive bonus points for having silent versions of everything. It's everything I look for in ASMR. Outstanding work!

Ok, Indiana Jones is the last thing I could imagine to be a source of ASMR, but you prove it's possible! Listened to first 12 minutes and fell to sleep already. Also the sound quality is extraordinary here - each rustle, creak and scratch are perfectly audible, the jungle background noise is not overwhelming, the variety of sounds is wide , great recording and editing.
This is honestly incredible. It’s more than a movie, it’s more than ASMR, and it’s more than art. The work you put into props, planning, camera work, lighting, make-up & clothing and mic placement might just make you unique in the ASMR community… Your attention to detail is second-to-none.
I hope you keep doing what you’re doing for years or even decades to come.
Respect for this type of ASMR MOVIE!
As a filmmaker I know how much effort you put in there and I have to praise
especially your lighting work and the color grading. I just love it!

Doing registration of the “find” before touching or even taking it is actually pretty accurate for how archaeology works. You are more Archaeo accurate than all of the movies combined! Great job done on the video!

This video knocked me out. I began watching with the intent to watch all the way through and woke up an hour later iPad in hand and the video over. So relaxing it knocked me out.
This is really inspiring, knowing you created this 100% on your own. I have always had a love for foley work, looooong before I knew what ASMR was, because of the sensations foley helps create. It’s so cool how you’re, essentially, turning the foley sounds into their own beautifully well-done and captivating mini-movie.

Look, I can't help but echo everyone's sentiment in saying that this has quickly become one of my, if not my absolute favourite ASMR video I've ever seen and that I'll definitely be returning to it often.
But man I couldn't help but giggle at the fact that your version of Indy not only calculated in the exact weight of the statue, but also calculated in the amount of money he could put on the pedestal afterwards without springing the trap, lol. Movie Indy could never 😆
