Tornado season begins and Reed Timmer starts off the year with two new team members, both of whom have their own opinions on where to chase. Featuring the November 7th, 2011 Tipton, OK intercept of a violent EF4 tornado.

This show is addictive. I've been binge watching the 2013 season all weekend. Its crazy how they just drive right up into a massive tornado!
I'm 1 year behind u. Really was revited to all the breakdowns on different channels of the historic 2013 El Reno storm too.
tell me about it, I started watching them in elementary school- I still to this day rewatch the shows. and to put it into perspective im in college now haha.
Thanks for making these guys! I was so disappointed when the Discovery Channel canceled the show, but this is the next best thing!

throughout seeing reed in illinois when i was 5 and still watching his shows chasing storms 13 years later still shows i want to follow his footsteps
I had a friend just like Reed. They are a special breed. He will yell at you when he's riled up in the middle of the moment but won't even hardly remember doing it. Aka, it is NEVER personal. Being overbearing comes from the passion within them. It's not a character flaw. But they rarely connect at a very deep emotional level with anyone even though they think they do. The passion of what they do will always take first place over relationships people. Why? It's just who they are and that's ok.

Great comment. Given that his team has changed so much, it's possible that some of those relationships have worn thin. His passion seeks to serve all of us, though - and for that I greatly appreciate it. Reed's a gem.

So glad we don't have the drama between the characters that the Discovery Channel enticed. I hated seeing disagreements & frustration such a main focus of the show.

@@beckylynn209 no. The Discovery channel show wasn't a documentary show about storms but a reality show so a lot of the drama in that show was staged because it's a reality show. Tim Samaras himself said he was happy that the got cancelled because he didn't like how the show staged a lot of the drama and how it focused more on the drama Than on the storms

storm chasers and ghost adventure are two of my favorite shows! nice to know other people enjoy chasing tornados and ghosts!
So I'm about 8 years late to this party, but I didn't know Reed was such a likable guy. Thanks to video editing in the past that mostly showed him in tense moments where he's screaming at tornadoes, I've avoided his videos mistaking him for being kind of an ass. Turns out I'm wrong and have a lot of catching up to do!

Hey reed, you may not know me, but your work as a storm chaser really amazes me, you are my favorite person and want to go to OU, too. sadly, i live in AZ, where we only get dust storms and microbursts, but on sept. 27, 2014, a monster severe line of storms with a tornado reported in glendale, packed hail, 100 mph winds, torrential rain, and intense damage to trees and power, ravaged the phx area for about half an hour. trees are down everywhere, flooded washes, damaged roofs, and knocked out power for 1000s of residents, thankfully the tree branch that fell in my front yard didnt hit my 80+ dollar weather station or my house, but i did get to see a ground scraping shelf cloud and green skies with purple bolts of lightning striking only 50- yards from us. nearly knocked over my parents car, im only 13 but have been wanting to be a storm chaser/ meteorologist ever since ive been 3 yrs old! in 2010 another huge storm rolled in with baseball sized hail and 110 mph winds! destroyed cars and punched holes in roofs! scary stuff!
Alex I am only young enough to have seen bad storms but that storm is very horrible I have wanted to be like them too and you are very brave with these storms (Btw LOVE Pheonix Arizona)

Alex Lubbers well tornadoes are not uncommon here in Arizona I mean October 6 2010 that was a big day tornado wise.

I gotta' say guys, I'm super friggin' excited about this show. I just discovered that you had a show of you chasing storms again and I'm seriously excited.
Reed is always a character, but seems to know what he's talking about (not really shown in this particular episode, but hey. . . . ya' can't be right all the time. lol).
I'll be purchasing each and every season from you guys and I sure as hell hope you keep up the good work. Be safe out there.

These guys used to be on the discovery channel... The old storm chasers tv series? That was them. The show got cancelled for whatever reason, and they don't really want to deal with the licensing costs of using Warner Brothers music. Especially when this is a for profit series.
It got cancelled because there was more footage of arguments between people than footage of storms. It seems like TVNweather focuses more on the weather.
yergaderga TVN was able to work drama into their story by having the tornado be the center piece of the drama. Reeds dramas were focused around data gathering, getting into the right spot, whether the idea paid off or not, and stuck to that. It's one of the reasons I've followed Reeds progress since 2006 or so when I first stumbled across some videos he posted online.

Not at all! I'm 10 and I study weather and tornadoes, possible storm path and things like that!
wow... thats so cool. i just think that chasing tornado's would be a fun jib and possibly exciting. i used to be really scared of storms, but i never realized how exciting and interesting they are to watch until this year

Mel Mel no it is not an ef0 or an ef1. It was an ef4. The rotation was incredibly fast and if it hit houses it would be rated ef5. Remember tornadoes are rated by their damage. The ef4 didn't hit any structures but they measure wind speeds too :) but if I'm wrong I'm sorry but it's my opinion
