  • Fatou Seidi Ghali performing the track Telilit from the album Les Filles de Illighadad, available on LP and download at tinyurl.com/illighadad.
Les Filles de Illighadad is a Tuareg band founded by Fatou Seidi Ghali in Illighadad, a village in the Sahara Desert in Niger. Ghali, it is claimed, is the first Tuareg woman to play guitar professionally.
Footage from: "A Story of Sahel Sounds."
    LYRICS:
    I prefer death
or embers stuck to my heart
or that my soul will be torn apart
that it will be said in my community
    that I committed adultery.
    My best friend among women,
She went in the bush one night to meet a man
One day she started to scream at night
She wears her gold and she detaches her jewelry
    She is sick with shame.
But I also saw the metamorphosis of the desert,
I saw a beautiful woman married to a broken man.
Her hand is in his hand and she walks through the community
She has a yellow skin that protects her from the wind
The whiteness of her teeth are bright.
    I prefer death
or embers stuck to my heart
or that my soul will be torn apart.

Here's the English translation of the song (found it in one of their videos):
    I prefer death
or embers stuck to my heart
or that my soul will be torn apart
that it will be said in my community that I committed adultery.

@Youssef Houaoui It depends from which country the Tuareg is from btw there's is no Bantus in West Africa Bantus begin in South Cameroon to South Africa. West Africans speak Niger Congo A ancestral to Bantu(Niger Congo B). Tuareg in Mali are mixed with "West African" But these girls are just purer Berbers because they don't look West African but East African and genetically in the paternal side and linguistically Berbers are East African Afro Asiatic or more correct Afrasan because of the origin of the language is in Africa not Asia. Semetic languages are the baby Benjamin of the Afrasan language.
      upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/8/8a/Expansion_of_Afroasiatic.svg/220px-Expansion_of_Afroasiatic.svg.png
Berber today are a mix of the original East African looking people like Somalis and and Sudanese (original Berbers) and Mediteranean people of the European side of thr Mediteranean in particular Spain and Southern Italy and not so suprising Baltic especially seen in Kabyle Culture the women have the same clothing as Baltic women whereas other Berbers have clothing Identical to Eritrea and Dijibouti. and some middle Eastern.

Etc.. Afroasiatic is a lie from western european only ideology without proof and white berber are méditerraneans nobody know from where exactly but they came from North West africa
