Upgrades to my 2015 Can-Am Spyder F3-S

  • I bought my Spyder in February 2017 as a leftover. I saved enough money to do many upgrades. A lot of the upgrades are can-am parts and accessories but only because I don't have any experience doing any of this myself and my dealer is hesitant about working with non can-am parts. I try to explain my reasons for the upgrades.

Just a little late to the party but thanks anyway. I havent signed on the dotted line for my F3 just yet hence the homework to see what its like living with a can-am. All things being equal that situation will be resolved over the coming months. Wishing you health & happiness !

Great info, subbing. I just got my new/lightly used Spyder F-3S It’s a 2021. It only had 705 miles on it. Hoping to add a battery tender for storage this winter. Cold and crappy here in the far west burbs of Chicago, so there will be little opportunity to ride much this year, COME ON SPRING!

What does the sway bar do? Also is it better to have the metal links?I have the 2015 F3 with. 20k mikes and it rides pretty good

Thanks this video was very informative. All other videos about this only list the positives.
I was thinking of buying a used F3 as my daily driver until I graduate college. I'll pretty much just be driving to campus and home; when I start my internship maybe to work as well but only in the spring and summer months; but I doubt I can afford all the upgrades you have. .
Would you recommend buying the syder for a daily driver? Or an even better question: Would you use the spyder for your daily commute without all your upgrades?

Yes the Spyder without the upgrades will be absolutely fine for a daily commute. A windshield will help a lot in bad weather if you can afford to add that.

You mentioned you had twisted throttle install the brake light. Where are they located? I also have a 2015 F3 S and I love the brake light concept.

Now that you have had the Spyder for a couple of years have you had any issues with it ?

@@jamesweber4938 I honestly don't know. It's in my daughter's garage and she is away on vacation for the next two weeks. I have a 2018 F3-L also and my daughter uses the F3-S more than I do.

You mentioned your height, I’m 6’4” do you think I’m too tall?

Rollin Dub There are 5 leg positions and 5 different handlebars available on the F3 series of Spyders. You should be ok.

I plan to buy an F3 in 2022. I'm a big strong guy at 6'4 280lbs and I'm concerned about my height. I heard you could switch handlebar position but now you say there are 5 different handlebars. Looking for a friend!😊
