Good stuff man! Trout fishing is a blast! Maybe we can get together someday and catch some trout.
Yah man that would be a blast, I actually just caught my first brown trout a day ago
@@CreekFishingAdventures heck yeah! congrats man. Trout fishing is addictive. If you're ever around northern Virginia or northeastern WV let me know!
I love juice trout videos. This one is great. I’m going out this weekend to fish the for trout here in Georgia.
Love the trout fishing vids! That’s why i im subbed to you because i love fishing small streams for trout, come to michigan and fish for trout or bass in any of our small streams and you won’t be dissapointed at all! God bless and keep reeling em in!
Wow ! Just don't fall in, that would be the end of ya. Great water, trout and a Yellow Perch ! ! OK. This is like fishing below the Bluestone Dam, New River near Henton, WV. Further down is Sandstone Falls @ Henton. 365 feet across and 25 feet high. I just love this place. It has everything ya could want. Great fishing ,and even swimming ,tho "Be Careful " ! While fishing there one day three people were lost. Henton side. Nothing I could do. So to others ,if ya fish near fast water be careful OK. Be safe and show more videos like this. Take care now. Tom DB, FL.
Nice reel, nice rod, nice takes... and that perch put a little spice on the trout fishing!!! Thanks for sharing!!!
I've caught some very large trout about 300 -400 yards downstream....the powerhouse current makes a figure "S" and comes over to the Railroad side you are on...use big live black crickets hooked through thorax....lots of very big trout are on that current seam...caught some big trout ripping streamers in trophy section too...but the fore mentioned area was far far more productive...had some 30 trout all over 20" mornings there....lost creek above the tracks has it's amazing days too...long live the hiawassi
Please be careful...that spot downstream is loaded with all three viper types...loaded
You should hold the fish with the net like a glove. That way you protect the fish if you are letting them go. Great video!
In a rush, but great video! I love when my low expectations are exceeded when I fish!
Good video sir! I grew up in north Alabama fishing these type of streams in Bama and Tn, good times. Nice yella perch also, they are good eating.
About to go fishing myself, btw that spot looks beautiful and I want to fish it soooooo bad. Tight lines🎣
Beautiful trout cfa' I'd never thought that they would hit a bitsy minnow but man you shredded em . Love the video and keep fishin bro' love the rod n reel too btw🤙🤙🤙🎣🎣🎣
Yes.. Mr. Creekman got to see you actually in the picture fishing... just awesome. I sincerely hope one day you come to Maryland and take me fishing with you... you are the best! There should be more people like you around. I will email you my information. I look forward to seeing your videos all the time!😉😀
Man that's a mean looking reel!! Little more turbulent than your normal creeks haha hope you enjoyed it!
Great video! I need to try some of those lures in south GA! GOD BLESS!!!
6:54. "Now that I'm fishing for a living". That must feel pretty darn cool.
Kayaked the Hiwassee back in the day -You can’t ask for more beautiful setting to go fishing! (Looks like you might want to be careful in that spot if you didn’t know how to swim though).
Those are perfect eating size trout, but I know you mostly catch and release. I'm sure that's some cold water, and that would make for some fine tasting trout. Good video John, as always.
That's a beautiful river, nice video. Trout fishing is cool.... ✌✌👊
Nice video. You may not fish for trout that often but once you get hooked on them, especially native trout, you're gonna be like Fish Hawk! :-)
That's a cool bridge. That discharge is holding a ton of trout. Bonus perch also.
Headed out there today and gave it a shot. Didn't stay too terribly long but didn't get any bites either. Seemed like the current out of the powerhouse just pushed my lures to the surface.
Amen:: Certainly a fast flow of water alright ,great caught of rainbows they did like the fast water.Well done.
Great video you got on the trout fishing has been kind of tough lately. Keep it up.
Nice bunch of trout, looks like a challenging spot with the current and rocky bottom. Knowing me I'd probably lose a few spinners there. Excellent work!
Caught 15,000 fish in his lifetime....still gets excited over a 1 pounder. That's the definition of a real sportsman! Love the Hiawassee. Canoed it many, many times but I need to come fish it. Its possibly the most beautiful river setting I've seen in my life.
Hey - for that specific spot, try a Mepps XD to get down deep in the water column- especially in that turbulent water. I use them in Fall/Winter when there's a lot more water and flow. It's a big trout smasher!
Nice fishing 🎣
Beautiful trout and beautiful water.
Love me some fishing up at Reliance.. I learned how to fish there with my dad
nice video and good bunch of trout .... be careful out there water looks fast and cold.
That was a really nice fishing trip. You sure got a lot of nice trout's😊
thanks for another awesome fishing trip Sir
your efforts are always appreciated 👍👍✌
That is some cool fishing great video rolling water standing right next to it cool
I would love for you To come up where I live and catch some wild rainbows and big browns, my pic is a brown I caught the other night
Slaying the trout. Amazing work sir. Still a huge fan.
👍 Awesome 👏!!...I notice the music in the beginning and the second cam! Nice! And that was some crazy white water!
Good day of fishing right there kept waiting for a big smallmouth to test that new reel
They use those for striper bait in the Hiwassee. Not sure if you can use wildcaught ones though. I know Gander Mountain used to sell bait trout. Cool video man
Good video, John. "Reel-ly" enjoyed that!
Great video. I love the creek fishing but these videos are awesome to switch it up a little
Nice trout action, and that should hold up well into the winter. Blessings!
That place looks awesome
Awesome vid
Great video
Always wanted to fish that rive, cool perch
Man I wanna fish there again but ain't got anyone to take me, my wife won't cross the bridge and I can't leave her an my daughter sitting in the parking lot, thanks for sharing and nice catches
Nice change of pace. Good video.
That reel looks awesome!!! Looks like you had a great day! Love the rainbows & beautiful scenery!
Great video... those were some really nice rainbow trout and perch! 👍
Never fished that spot but I am going to now lol
I hate I don't live around any freshwater trout. We do get a local lake stocked with rainbow and browns in December, but they are usually gone within 2 weeks.
Nice trout there John, have you done much trout fishing with Panther Martin spinners?
John "The Christian Fish Whisperer " you are an inspiration to all!
good video
Wow. Great video. The there'd rainbow was beautiful.🤙
where them browns at? (try a gold spinner)
Nice way to break in a new reel. Looks like you were thinking of lipping that second trout for a second. I have had moments like that.
ye know it gonna be good when he fishin for trout👌👌👌
“The camera was off” That’s hilarious!
They like oxygen rich and fast moving waters John.. I also like to watch bass fisherman handle trout.. it is like they think the trout is made of glass and would break or die.. there tough fish too just look at where they live..WEll John boy.. this is the kind of fishing I do all the time.. Welcome to my side of the fishing story.. Carry on brother, be safe, especially out on the court... those young 'un will run you ragged if you let them!!!
The main reason bass fishermen handle trout so delicately is because all the purists try to dry it into their skulls that a trout is made of wet paper. I for one agree that trout are tough fish
@@slickydicky Well David we all know what purist are. People with no experiences but of lot of misinformation that they heard someone say once.. Thanks my brother.. IF they were such delicate fish the fish and wildlife people would not spend so much effort to raise them.. so bass fisherman.. trout are not glass fish.. they are no different from the bass you catch..
Holy crap someone that knows what there talking about. I have a pond full of trout and kids that fish non stop, the trout live just fine and trust me they don't handle them like glass. LOL. You are so right.
@@Knotrockets Good for you!!! teach the kids my friend.. it is one of the best things we can leave behind..
Great video my friend
Awesome camera shot of you and the bridge another fun vid!
man i have been all over that powerhouse on both sides up the tracks worked out good in the late spring
Enjoyed the video im from polk county originally fished the hiwassee a lot
Nice river, but still I liked the small rainbows you caught in that small creek some weeks ago a little more.
Hey I am sure people tell you all kinds of stuff, but check out fluorocarbon lines, less stretch then mono, better feel and you can get 6 lb test at the size of 4 lb diameter or less, really good stuff just my two cents, also look at a pair of hemostates as opposed to a multi tool for removing hooks from smaller mouthed fishes, hope you dont mind my opinons :)
I live less than 20 mins from reliance. We should fish one day.
Nycd intro #ambient
blue fox spinners work well in rivers for me. you should try it
Rapala ripstops work gangbusters out there too!
IT MIGHT BE WONDERFUL TO BE THERE....EAT FISH, DRINKS COKE AND SOME NEWS READING.. L.O.L FROM INDONESIA
Snuck to my computer just to watch your channel during work......ssssshhhhhhh......haha stay blessed brother!
I bet that place would be awesome with a fly rod..as always great work
That particular Teeny R is my favorite
Do you think you could ever fish Beaverdam Creek in the future? River that feeds into the NW end of Lake Hiawassee. I know there aren’t as many trout as of 20 years ago. About the time I landed a HUGE trout out of there. Mahalo 🤙🏻
Those rainbows are really big
Surfs up!! Nice intro.
greetings one hobby, may be god bless you
Just subscribe to your channel.
I love to fish. We dont have trout.
Great video, have you ever thought about a catch and cook? God is good!
Wore EM out!
too bad you cant keep em right now, they will be a couple inches bigger come spring when you can, i have a lifetime of memories there
Oh yea, did you see Matthew Isbell's ( AKA, Bama Beach Bum ) post on "New Laws for You Tuber's ? Seems the Gov. has some NEW RULES for ALL 'TUBERS ! Tom DB, FL.
yah i saw it, there has been a lot of talk on that stuff recently
Man your awesome to watch !!
Something about the banjo music and the river just don't seem right . lol
Another nice one my friend , thanks.
You need to try the KastKing Mela II spinning reel can beat the price or performance
Making me nervous brother around that rough water. Please wear a life vest. We loose a few fishermen in CNY fishing in the same kind of contortions
I have never caught a trout. I am only a little over an hour away from there. Do you have to get any special license to catch the trout?
Hey brother, wet your hands before you pick up the trout. Trout are sensitive to our dry hands. Dry hands remove protective layer from outside of trout and makes them vulnerable to disease. Maybe you did and I missed it, but I didn't see it.
Trout are biting
If that is a mepps anglia O have caught so many fish with one of those.
OK, this is a shorter version of what I typed out, and then erased cause I don't want to touch off an internet comment war. Some of the fish handling comments on this video are absolutely laughable, enough said. It's a fish for heaven's sake in a body of water that probably contain tens of thousands. You caught what? 20 at most? I'd love to see you work up a T-shirt with a logo that says "Trout Doctor, handled with care".... Excellent video John. When your basketball team plays it's first game, blare that banjo music through the PA system to intimidate your opponents.... LOL
Also, I've heard you have to be very gentle with trout releases...they're so sensitive. You always just FLING your fish back out there. But I hear you about the water being far down. Net release, maybe?
Took the family up there on a Picnic one Sunday and got attacked by wolves and barely got away with our lives and ran the station wagon into a ditch getting away = Never again!!
I live in NC and I have never caught a trout.Do you have any tips?
I recommend using an ultralight rod and reel with 6 pound flurocarbon line and a pack of rooster tail spinners or any small sinking rapalas' and fish rivers and streams were you know that trout are in their ' dont be afraid to do any research on your local fishing areas ' that's how I catch my trout in va were I live' hope my tips helped you bud' and never give up
look up where the state says there are trout in the streams, inline spinners seem to always work on medium action setup
, That was some great fishing on the Hiwasse for rainbows. I think you adapted well to the rough water.Good Job.
