This is some of the goofiest shit ive ever seen to FC a song let alone an unFCable song, congrats! Do you think something like this could work for Standing In Your Stuff drums?
As far as I know, there's no way to do this in Rock Band. But theoretically if you could, yeah I think it would work for that song too
There's also the problem that the broken note for SIYS is 2:20 into a 7 minute song so youd need a hit window 5 minutes delayed
Yeah this is true, I forgot it was that early on. I have tried many things to try to hit that broken note but I think it's more of an issue of it exceeding the games limitations for NPS even if it is just two notes. I just feel there has to be some goofy way around it lol.

Genuinely one of the most interesting things I've seen in Guitar Hero, and I thought I'd (almost) seen it all lmao
FC'ing by literally changing what notes the game trackms by using a calibration glitch only possible by version switching to the original GH3 patch to create a scenario where the broken note is not counted to allow for a video starting 30 seconds late that can be played along to so it's in sync with the ridiculously screwed up hit window is an absolutely convoluted and brilliant way of ending this cursed track.
I feel like I gained like 3 years of schooling from this, jeez.

That is fuckin crazy, I remember back in the day me and my friends used to always be screaming into the mic about invisible notes, facetiously, anytime one of our grooves or FC's got botched haha. Absolutely nuts that there actually was a chart out there with an invisible note on it

Glad to see this done even though a glitch needed to be used to get this finally done. Congrats! Off topic but this invisible note glitch was fixed in the GHWT and GHM versions of All Nightmare Long, so I'm glad Activision fixed it in later games

Also, this just goes to show how completely hacked together the GH 3 engine is, as well as how completely broken open and dissected by the community it is. Truly, Neversoft's crunch on this one was a gift that keeps on giving.

@@twotailedfox3349 it's an official DLC chart that had a tap chord, which is impossible to hit in the GH engines. The peculiar thing though is that note is only a tap chord on PS3 and 360, not Wii. It's a HOPO chord on Wii.

I would imagine that the programmers ended up letting it slip up and then nobody even bothered FCing the chart because it was the hard mode chart as opposed to the usual expert mode chart.

My guess was a Full Combo of "Trogdor" by Strong Bad on an unmodded Xbox 360 copy of Guitar Hero 2.
Reminds me of how strike bowler use to change his lag setting to put the songs way ahead to whammy extra star power in long notes. Was getting half meters on rb1 that were seemingly impossible to get.

How'd they even end up with a broken note? Did they not playtest the song ONCE? :p
You can make custom chart with longer ending, keep same chart, but extend ending of the song by few minutes, that way you can hit all notes in original song.
Honestly, seeing the invisible note here for the flagship instrument of this series just makes me want to see just how BS innaccurate the vocals charts are in the later games, and what you would have to sound like to "FC" songs or even a full campaign of them.

I come back to rewatch this and all I can know, it's that if had the chart file and you can figure out, there's an "N 5 0", which is a forced strum/hopo, which causes the "choke". Mistake by Neversoft? Probably, but we'll never know unless that chart could be either modified with that missing note on the chart.

There is another song, but in Guitar Hero On Tour: Decades. 'I Can't Drive 55' on rhythm guitar has two green notes in the outro. Trying to hit them resets the multiplier.

I always thought FC stood for Full Credit because it meant that you went through the whole song with missing a note and without strumming when you weren’t supposed to.

I forget which it is but on the bass version of a song on expert i believe or it might have been hard its been 15ish years forgive my memory but one of the on tours there's a note you cant hit as well lol. This is truly gigabrain though lmao 😂
There are two songs with impossible notes in the GHOT series that I know of, Ruby on bass and I Can't Drive 55 on rhythm. There are orange notes charted, which are of course impossible because the game only has 4 frets

Y'know, I do have this game, but not on ps3 or xbox. just a ps2. and I found the invisible note glitch, when i tried FCing la grange on easy I deployed my star power when the solo began and there wasn't a yellow note behind the yellow sustain, that got me confused for some reason I raged really hard. I thought the game trolled me. couldn't see it. couldn't strum it. it wasn't there on the highway. that was a glitch.
I'd say fuck it and let it count as an FC, just put an asterisk next to the record lol.
a bug or an extra note in that .midi file that isn't noticed by developers
