I’m really looking forward to getting a Mojo. I ordered one from Amazon and it arrived broken at the tip. The second one arrived literally the day after I shipped back the first one, broken at the tip in the same place. Be warned. Don’t purchase St. Croix rods from Amazon, they break rods. Unlike the first one -which came in an Amazon box that looked like the delivery guy stomped on it and used it to fight off a grizzly bear- the second one arrived in a perfectly in-tact box with a damaged product inside. A rant, sure, but if it convinces people to support a local tackle dealer rather than a soulless corporation that doesn’t give a shit, the rant was worth it.

I love the looks of that jig. I found it almost impossible to fish in grass because the weed guard is so light. I'm a 6th Sense fan so I think that's a fair opinion.
What weight lures where you throwing? ... wondering what you think of the mod/fast action?
I snapped my 6’10 jerkbait mojo rod n a 7lb 7oz bass! Got her in though, on the grass candy clout worm.
How soft is the tip on that rod? I’m looking for a rod that has a slightly soft tip so I can use it for some live bait as well as artificials. I haven’t been able to get an answer to this question.
Glad your enjoying the mojo bass series rods. i have a couple of mojo bass rods and have caught largemouth ans calico bass on them. They work great for inshore fishing.

Do you think the 7’6” casts well? Could it be a bladed jig rod since it’s mod-fast or is it too stiff?

He better not! Once you buy one your ruined. I started with an 852. Now I have an 873, 893, and an 894. Then you need to get a reel to match. I’m now a Crack( NRX) head.

Lol I just bought a mojo bass heavy power rod and paired my slx dc with it and was wondering if it was a good look, after seeing this video I’ll probably keep it on there 🤣
heavier set ups lose fish easier I think.. I mainly use 6 lb mono and throw all those same baits you did except the first one, and jerkbaits and lipless with it also. though I also use it for finesse.. and I go with a lght. medium type of rod.. though ya ill lose em too sometimes.. the one good thing they didn't look like hogs so losing them is not so bad.. the trick is to not lose that big big big one when she gets on.. I am jelly of all those top water hits though I never got one topwater yet in 3 years.. but most my fish come from finesse at this lake.. cya man.
Have you ever tried to tie a loop knot for your bladder swim jigs? (Rapala knot). I do it on some of my cranbaits. I’ve found it frees up the head of the lure to swim.

So, do you like the Mojo better than the Fury?? I have a Mojo & G. Loomis e6x. Just broke the Loomis in a car door. I loved that rod but I’ve heard so much good about the Fury. I’m thinking of trying one because of the price but I don’t want to waist my money??

Don’t buy the fury. Call loomis and get a new rod. Doesn’t matter how it broke. Pay the set replacement fee and they send you a brand new rod.

I know it’s 3 years later now but did you ever get the fury? I am in the same position because I don’t know if I want the mojo bass or the fury to pair with my curado dc. If you ever got the fury, which one did you like more?
I fish mainly for bass trout northern pike and some salmon. Would the mojo bass be able to handle those? If so what configuration do you think?
