In this video I go to The Bronx and explore the neighborhoods of Kingsbridge and Marble Hill. I start my walk through Kingsbridge by the 1 train. The neighborhood is residential and has many restaurants and shops. Gives you a vibe like if your in another town. Once I finish exploring Kingsbridge, I walk to Marble Hill, which is a hidden gem. Honestly and according to google, Marble Hill is part of Manhattan, and the only part of Manhattan that is in mainland North America. Hope you enjoy this video, stay tune for more.

I have to say I have lived in the Kingsbridge section for 73 years and I can say it is safe and friendly. We have everything with a 10 block radius. So don’t be afraid of The Bronx.
I love this part of the Bronx. Lots of hills, trees, and nice buildings.
I used to live in that neighborhood many years ago!... On the W. Coast now.. but that place was part of my youth 👍
Keep the videos on the Bronx coming! Great reminder of my youth, even after 45 years of being away from the Bronx.
Thank you, I will keep making videos in the bx
Shout out to all my New Yorkers, Boricuas and Dominicans. I lived in NYC for over 30 years. Moving around… starting in the South Bronx and ending in Riverdale. I can’t say I missed it… I do however respect my roots and resilient New Yorkers. I did enjoyed living in Riverdale. My favorite spot was Van Cortlandt Park, I ran and hiked all 14 miles of trails with my dogs.
I moved to the beautiful island of Hawaii 2 years ago. Love it here 🤙🌈
17:37. You just passed Marble hill playground. This is the original site of the King's bridge toll house for the King's bridge. It was built in 1693 by Frederick Philipse. In 1713, the bridge was remodeled, this time using stone, which meant that it stuck around for much longer.
This was the major crossing point to Westchester at the old Sputen Duyvill creek. (known as the wading place by the indians). It was destroyed by a fleeing George Washington and his troops in 1776, and rebuilt after the war. In 1914 the bridge was buried underneath what is now Marble hill ave. at the playground.
St. Stephen's United Methodist Church is across the street.
That Highway that you are crossing is the major Deegan
MY MOM BOUGHT A 3 FAMILY HOUSE THERE IN 79 ON HEATH AVE IT WAS NICE BACK THEN
Great video, Manny! One note - Marble Hill is Manhattan - thanks for showcasing our neighborhood!
I found out that it was in Manhattan right after I filmed the video, I will be returning to make a video of Marble Hill and the history
Marble Hill is not da Bronx but part of Manhattan which got cut off when they put in the Harlem river curve doing away the old creek that had been the border. So the waterway moved but not the border. And thanks for the strolls through my old hood! born and raised north/west Bronx
Hi Manny, the Bronx is so interessting and so many Houses are amazing, a wonderful Neighborhood you show us, thanks so much for this amazing Video 👍 Love greetings from Germany to you 🙏🕊🌸🌸🌸, Moni
Thanks Moni, the Bronx has a lot to offer.

Cool video. There are other residential parts of Kingsbridge closer to Riverdale with lots of nice row and brick houses

Very nice areas but it's mostly car country. I suppose that's the only way for residents to get around. And I like to walk no more than a few blocks to the nearest supermarket and wotnots.
it's a city... walking is the best
Ps .37
Bronx is only dangerous if you don’t mind your business. Nobody is gonna mess with you if you just act like a normal civilian.
