  • The season that gave supporters a 1000-yard stare and saw 78% of the southbank undertake courses of dialectical behavioural therapy alongside industrial doses of Quetiapine.
Player of the season was Carl Hoddle, brother of Glenn, for his tireless efforts in both putting out the training cones as well as the subsequent putting away of the very same training cones. Rest in peace.
"After an unbeaten run at the end of the previous season, expectations were higher than usual; the fans, players and management all determined and confident that the club would bounce back to the Premiership. The message pre-season was simple; promotion is the minimum requirement.
In what has been one of the unluckiest season in recent memory, Wolves flirted with promotion whilst never being able to put a decent run of results together. Domination of almost all of their opponents failed to equate to victories and points accumulation.
The team finished in seventh place, falling nine points short of a place in the promotion play-offs. Following this season, a summer of changes occurred with manager Glenn Hoddle resigning and many of the club's first team players departing."
