For lalafel riding, you can have a setting that lets you set it to "anyone" "friends only" "friends of friends" or "no riders." you can also have it set so that other players can ride too so it isnt a lalafel exclusive.
The giant claw marks were likely made by Valigarmanda the giant blue and red serpentine flying beast. On the main site it says when it goes on a rampage, it leaves terrible scars on the land. Which is probably why our new character is afraid of birds.
The Lala rider dilemna could be solved using a similar system to interactive emotes. There could be a "Uppies" emote for Lalas to indicate they want to ride you, and other races could approach and interact to pick them up and put them on their shoulders. Other races could learn an emote where they take a knee, and Lalas can approach and interact to climb up on the other character. The consent is there because players have to use a specific emote to initiate

Head's up Jesse, when you levelsync on a character 90-99 with the earring and get content which is lower than 90, the earring XP bonus WORKS. That means if you do MSQ roulette and get Praetorium, the XP earring is good. Same with all the 81-89 dungeons for leveling roulette. So even if you're level 99 wear the earring when you do roulettes. It will apply.
I have so much respect for anyone who can translate this fast and this accurate on the fly. I speak 3 languages and I can't do that. If I tried I'd develop a stutter immediately.
As a lala main, and in the interest of fairness and reciprocity, I propose that we also have animations for lalas carrying tallfolk. My vision for this is a lala holding the other character over their heads, in either a Superman or airplane pose, as the lala helps them "fly"...albeit at very low altitude. #LalaCarry

I think that having a Ride Pillion option for riding friends as a Lalafell would be very funny. Mabinogi actually has a similar system where the smaller races (if allied with Giants I think?) can ride on a Giant’s shoulders! Something akin to this would be great and very funny.

Okay so I think you're absolutely right on those paintings depicting The Twelve. I think that's Tural's version of Ramuh/Rhalgr looking over what I expect to be Solution Nine, and would make sense with all the purple thunder and lightning around it. And Byregot is the hammer wielding fellow. The painting with the sun definitely feels like it's trying to encapsulate Tuliyolal from what we know of it, but the way the face is put on the sun is so weird. I'd normally say it's their Azeyma but.... it looks like a child's drawn that face, and we know that Tuliyolal is a more recent city that hasn't had many rulers, so maybe it's showing something a lot more recent done by a child? AND NOW I'VE JUST GONE TO LOOK AT THE 4TH AND THAT MIGHT HELP CONFIRM THIS? So the one that you mentioned looked like the Mayan god of The Sun, I noticed immediately that it's just surrounded by water, with gates to the north. That reminds me of where Tuliyolal is placed, lots of water surrounding it with a bridge to the north. So I wonder if that is depicting what stood there BEFORE Tuliyolal with their version of Azeyma (depicted as the Mayan god of the Sun). No matter what there are some fascinating things in there, I'm going to be thinking over those for a good while.
I think it would be more fun to go through if it were fully voiced and most of it weren't just... dialogue leading to dialogue leading to dialogue. They don't feel like "quests" after a while.
I agree doubling down on wanting players to experience the story but I will also say that ARR is a definite slog and should be remade in a way, redo all the voice lines with the current voice actors, and voicing over more dialogue to make the story more engaging in ARR would probably go a long way, when I first started back during post 4.0 it was so hard to stay interested in alot of the mundane fetch quests and un voiced dialogue that I eventually just skipped ARR and watched a 1 hour recap instead, once I hit heavansward the story was immediately interesting and I loved the narrative 90% of the time going forward all the way to endwalker today.
To expand on the lalafell point, give us a piggyback or player carry options for all races smaller or equivalent to their mounting race :P Lalafells can be carried by anyone but can't carry anyone except other Lalas. Medium sized races can carry small and medium but not large. Larger races like Roes can only carry other Roes, etc.
27:14 theres a mob in the gubal library (and some others) that will "insult" the tank and give them a sadness debuff.. it can be dispelled by a healer, but also if you /comfort them that gets rid of it too :D

Excellent coverage of the media tour! I really appreciate you showed the artifact gear on Lalafell since not a lot of content creators for the media showed off the gear on that race.
They should also make it that lalafells can ride other lalafells, like on their shoulders. You can do that with up to 3 people and if you do, it becomes 3 lalafell in a trench coat.
Man the emotions were welling up, but you held up like a champ! I woulda been a blubbering mess in that situation. Heck I teared up a bit watching! This'll be my first expansion I'm playing at launch, and nothing could make me more excited!
Running dungeons the first time with Duty makes me enjoy them so much more. You get to look around and see the small flavor texts and stuff! Not to mention it forces you to learn the bosses.
The final boss is the exact same model as a pretty cool mini-boss in FF9 at the tail end of disc three. It's called Abadon, and it appears during the Zidane you are not alone sequence and you fight it with Quina and Steiner.
I love that Jesse can sit down and have a conversation with Yoshi P that turns into a friendly chat where it's clear that there is mutual admiration from all sides. My heart leapt when they specifically referenced your reactions. Congratulations Jesse, you deserve this kind of recognition and comradery with the giants of the industry.
I think the Lalafell mount system should be like the multi-rider mounts. You have to be in a party, and just right-click on your non-lala party member to mount like a car.
I appreciate Jesse so much. I don't think there's another creator out there who more closely enjoys the things that I do in games, and his joyful giggles are truly contagious. There's a bit from the EW villain comparison video that I keep in my mind where Jesse talks about the end of the Endsinger fight where Jesse proclaims it's perfect, and I keep going back to that because I hadn't been to describe my journey through this game and how it felt on a personal level. Hearing Jesse summarize the journey through to the end made me realize how tailor-made the story was for me (sorry to everyone who didn't enjoy it as much, but it was for me, my bad). With that in mind, I cannot wait to see what new story awaits. They've absolutely earned my trust. ❤ Also, music is 👍
I think the "orcs" in the cave painting might be the Yok Huy (aka FFXI Trolls). On the Dawntrail promo site it says "In ancient times, these giants of Urqopacha dominated the Turali continent, but several centuries ago their power waned, and they withdrew to a secluded mountain home. Sparse though they are in number, the Yok Huy continue to immortalize their existence with glyphic traditions according to their unique beliefs of life and death." So it's probably something regarding them and their history. As for the claw marks, out of anything we have knowledge of yeah, maybe the Eliminator. Theories aside, thanks for showing all the gear on a Lalafell, and also the surprise guest had me dying. #LetLalasRide

Honestly this feels like Jesse coming home to the Final Fantasy series. I still remember when he gave up on FF13 and it was pretty much an FF drought for a very long time. Of course, there were tiny bits of FF here and there, but it feels like it wasn't until he got sucked into FF14 that he truly came back. I still remembered seeing him release his 5.3 MSQ video playthrough on the main channel. I remembered watching the first few minutes of a red guy running up a tower of Gold and Blue, then tuning away cause I had no context. Only to realize what a big climactic event that was years later on when I played FF14 for myself.
That last part of doing Myths of the Realm and remembering all the names of the Convocation seems like a heavy hint at Pashtarot who got namedropped at the end of the Myths quests and has been seen once at the end of 2.0 in that dark room with all the other Ascians where he even got named, so since we haven't heard anything about him since he might show up in the New World.

They should also make it that lalafells can ride other lalafells, like on their shoulders. You can do that with up to 3 people and if you do, it becomes 3 lalafell in a trench coat.

Running dungeons the first time with Duty makes me enjoy them so much more. You get to look around and see the small flavor texts and stuff! Not to mention it forces you to learn the bosses.

The final boss is the exact same model as a pretty cool mini-boss in FF9 at the tail end of disc three. It's called Abadon, and it appears during the Zidane you are not alone sequence and you fight it with Quina and Steiner.

I think the Lalafell mount system should be like the multi-rider mounts. You have to be in a party, and just right-click on your non-lala party member to mount like a car.
I appreciate Jesse so much. I don't think there's another creator out there who more closely enjoys the things that I do in games, and his joyful giggles are truly contagious.
There's a bit from the EW villain comparison video that I keep in my mind where Jesse talks about the end of the Endsinger fight where Jesse proclaims it's perfect, and I keep going back to that because I hadn't been to describe my journey through this game and how it felt on a personal level. Hearing Jesse summarize the journey through to the end made me realize how tailor-made the story was for me (sorry to everyone who didn't enjoy it as much, but it was for me, my bad). With that in mind, I cannot wait to see what new story awaits. They've absolutely earned my trust. ❤

I think the "orcs" in the cave painting might be the Yok Huy (aka FFXI Trolls). On the Dawntrail promo site it says
"In ancient times, these giants of Urqopacha dominated the Turali continent, but several centuries ago their power waned, and they withdrew to a secluded mountain home. Sparse though they are in number, the Yok Huy continue to immortalize their existence with glyphic traditions according to their unique beliefs of life and death."
So it's probably something regarding them and their history. As for the claw marks, out of anything we have knowledge of yeah, maybe the Eliminator. Theories aside, thanks for showing all the gear on a Lalafell, and also the surprise guest had me dying.

Jesse is a very powerful fella to not have cried when Yoshida mentioned the stream.
Honestly this feels like Jesse coming home to the Final Fantasy series. I still remember when he gave up on FF13 and it was pretty much an FF drought for a very long time. Of course, there were tiny bits of FF here and there, but it feels like it wasn't until he got sucked into FF14 that he truly came back.
I still remembered seeing him release his 5.3 MSQ video playthrough on the main channel. I remembered watching the first few minutes of a red guy running up a tower of Gold and Blue, then tuning away cause I had no context. Only to realize what a big climactic event that was years later on when I played FF14 for myself.
That last part of doing Myths of the Realm and remembering all the names of the Convocation seems like a heavy hint at Pashtarot who got namedropped at the end of the Myths quests and has been seen once at the end of 2.0 in that dark room with all the other Ascians where he even got named, so since we haven't heard anything about him since he might show up in the New World.
The little changes they've made to visual clarity in dungeons are small but very noticeable. Thank you Yoshi-P!
