The third one you showed is much better for actual laying out in the sun at the beach. It reminds me of the older style jelly folding lounge chair but with fabric instead of webbing.

On the last chair you fold the foot part back onto the seat. Then you don’t have the leg part sticking out if you are on a chair mode. It’s perfect!
I thought the same thing.
You could fold the foot area backwards and it would become part of your 'seat' then put a thin cushion under you. Just an idea.

That 3rd one is nice. I think if you picked up the foot rest and fold it up all the way and then back down, it would go to the ground. I have one like that. You were sitting there when you tried it so you couldn’t fold it all the way first. It doesn’t make sense that they would make that lovely chair and not have the footrest lower to the ground. Also I think it would bother me that there are no arm rests but that’s probably due to the narrower width, which you needed. Anyway, out of the 3, lovely choice and I LOVE your umbrella!! You could even use it as an awning at campsite because it extends up taller than your van. You find the best stuff!

Yes, I know that dollar tree sells ones that you can blow up to how hard you want it to be. Also, those pillows that they use in Jacuzzis.
Grab one of the pillows from another chair. I guess you can use a cooler to put your drink on. It is lower than the other one. #1 was good too - higher and has a cup holder. 🎉 love the umbrella

Think out of the box.......what about moving things out of van into cargo box to make room for chaise in van instead. You could put your table that you store by your bed in cargo box and store your chaise next to bed. You could then upgrade to a chaise with arms.......or there are ones that have a hole for your face when you lay on tummy like a massage table.

I have a lounger almost identical to the teal one and love it. Mine has a flap that folds back in the head area so that you can lie face down and breathe through the hole. Can also use iPhone face down. I love that feature!

On the first one, I agree the cushion would make you hot. The foot rest dropped would help keep your feet off the hot sand

I scoured every store and all of them are more than 20" wide, some closer to 24". it was a treasure hunt to find this one at 20" wide!!

The first ones foot rest likely folds down UNDER the legs of the chair ( lift up the whole chair and let it swing down. Hopefully it has a clip to lift it up off the ground to keep it clean.
Just thinking...throw a no seeum net over the umbrella with stakes at the bottom for a screened in room.
Very appealing color combo, & I like that lounge best too.
The vents are nice for warm weather, the fabric is for cooler weather when you dont want the air to come through the vented mesh.
The foot side of #3 should go down. You just need to forward it without sitting on it so it goes all the way to seat. Then fold it down to angle toward ground.❤

I like chair #3. That's an old style chair that were very comfortable. Then all the chairs made switched to bag chairs. I have a hard time getting out of those style chairs. I'm glad the lounge chair fits in the cargo box. 😎😎😎
You can get a little cup holder and hook it onto the side and they make those attachable little tables in case you want to put like a sandwich or your sunglasses and whatever else a little bit more space then you could just take them down and tuck it in your chair when

Love the old school lounger! Simple and cute colour too! Never found those telescopic or whatever they’re called comfortable. And for my drink I have a metal holder on a long spike you stick in the ground. Nice umbrella and drill too! maybe you’ll strike oil 🤣

The foot portion of the last one should go all the way down, if you’re not sitting in the chair, you can bring it all the way to the center flat and then it should drop to the sand

I'm sure you've enjoyed your lounge chair by now. I believe the foot portion will go down. While you are out of the chair, fold it backwards flat, then fold toward ground.

You are in #3 backwards! That foam bar is the foot of the chair and it’s the one❤ ok, I could be wrong… but, it makes sense that you could push yourself back up if and when you slide down. And that part will let you lower it so your feet aren’t straight out. IDK 🤷♀️
yes, it makes sense that the foam piece would be better utilized for the feet, but on the back of that end is the little pocket with the snap. so that's weird!!

Nice chair 😊. Maybe you can create a bit of a routine, not too much, but going for a couple good walks a day to keep mobile ? It’s important as we age.
The narrower curved foot rest is for stepping over easier. The zipper seems to be so people can stand right up without straddling.

#3 simple old fashion lawn chair. They are great for sitting in the water too. At least they updated them from the striped woven plastic though they lasted a long time. Good choice.
I like #3 the best. Hopefully it is comfortable. Enjoy lounging in the future on the beach.
Its been a while since a folding chair in that design. Old designs are the best for one reason - IT works ! Thanks for the review. I'm not a sun person, but I have been shopping camping chairs and Lordie, there is a lot of designs. I'm rocker and finding one that folds up small for a van is the challenge for me.
I love rockers too but have been limited because I wanted a chair that folded very small!!
I have the same umbrella and love that it anchors into the sand easily. Good choice on the chair! Looked heavy but you won’t have to carry it far.

For chair #3, maybe your head goes at the other end. There is more fabric for head support. The foam would be better for your feet.

Maybe the bottom of the first chair flips all the way under the chair which might be why it narrows
# 3 for the win! I have one similar to that one that I bought years ago at Dollar Tree for $19.99. I got it when I had my class B camper because it folded flat and fit the space I had. I even use it as a sleeping cot when I had someone stay over night. I still have it and take it with me when I make longer camping trips in my mini van. I find it to be very comfortable.
I spent many nights camping w a sleeping bag on my trusty banana chair, morning coffee by the fire.😁

Wow, last month I bought a similar chair! With a piece of upholstery foam it is comfortable in my mini van and is lightweight to transfer it to my cabin tent if I wanted to switch. Love it!

We have some like your first one at our camp and ours does the same thing, it just drops to the ground. I meant to tell you that the second one, there is an option to get a zippered foot part that you can use as a table. Also, the second on does recline 🙂 It has to do with the armwrest on the chair itself. Love the one you chose! I'd never be able to get up from it tho, LOL, bad knees. 🙂

Just an fyi, those collapsible chairs on the beach get sand in the leg connections. Which makes it hard to collapse back up.

Of the three options, I like number three as well. If you might consider a Zero Gravity lounge chair it would be great. The compromise on space would be worth it.

The first blue chair: try pulling the blue fabric of when you unzipp the legpart then you might be able to turn the long things away.
The purpose of the narrow bit is: a much easyer hop on hop off.
The chair of your choice: you cannot sit in it nicely, just my experience..

armrests would be great but I've been using a camp chair traveling for six years that has no arm rests. I have a beach table that folds out, it works well!!
Lulu, you want a Lafuma style chair. They had them at Lowe's and places like that for about $70. Lafuma is expensive, but tey have different brands made like them cheaper now.
those chairs look so comfy, but I'm limited to the width so it fits in my cargo box. 27" wide is way too big to fit in my cargo box.

Be really careful drilling holes in the beach especially if it's been raining, sand is very unstable, and sinkholes and quicksand are real.
