Thought I'd throw up the original tonight...back when it was still known as 'Madagasga'. 😊
I didn't know anything about trance music until I got Napster in 1999. That's when I went down the rabbit hole.
This is one of those rare cases when one remixer (Cygnus-X) throttles a track into a totally new direction, makes it a hit and the rest of the remixers base their remix off the Cygnus X remix.
Simon Berry ☝ Art of trance , union jack ...😍
Little mention for platipus some epic tunes released on that label over the years
Many people referring Ferry Corten, likely actually refering to the Cygnus X Remix. It was the Cygnus X Remix that became the major commercial hit that was played everywhere. Ferry did do a remix later on but it wasn’t the version that’s on loads of trance albums.
Ah when trance was still fresh & not in the main stream, reminds me of them Pendragon & Return to the Source dayz 😊
thanks to the brilliance of Matthias and Ferry for monumentally epic remixes but Simon takes the cake for me. The purity of this track makes it one of the quintessential trance tracks. Flawless 7 minutes
Never heard the original version before i so used hearing the ferry corsten remix
Now that is trance music. Sends you to another dimension
Really miss that old platipus sound 😢
Soooo good. I love when a trance track really makes you feel like it's much longer than it actually is.
Why is this track not on any trance albums 😮
I thought this was a different track from the famous Madagascar that ferry corsten remix. Literally had to look it up lol. Honestly this version is a million times better. Like infinity time better.
The choir pad a 45secs onwards is amazing. Simon should have done another version with just this long intro carrying on and on.
The good old never be old
I hadn't heard this masterpiece of classic trance for at least fifteen years. Still brilliant as ever.
Loads of tb303 on this classic! ❤
Platipus!
Wow! What an important track this one became.
