The FDR part was such a humbling moment, being Dominican, growing up I was so obsessed with U.S. history and FDR being one of those individuals that I used to tell myself “when I grow up, I want to be as tough as that man” my appreciation for @cardib as a person, artist, performer, you named it! Increased so much after this interview! I hope she never changes. 🇩🇴
This is what I love about cardi: she's not disconnected. She knows she's got it good now, and remembers where she came from, and where most of us still are. She's so down to earth and funny
One of my favorite things is watching someone talk about their favorite things and watching Cardi talk about FDR and WWII was truly a delight. Did not expect her to be a history buff but you can never judge a book by it’s cover!

Sean is so underrated as an interviewer. You can tell that he takes the prep for these interviews seriously. It’s so refreshing that he’s not asking the standard cookie cutter questions. I think for the last few years, most people have said he is an excellent interviewer and he does his research well. I agree, the show stays fresh even though there is not much new apart from a couple of new hot sauces.
