Y'all ever heard of "Ghost Town" by The Specials? James said that he sampled it for one of the BG songs in {Elsewhere}. Not sure which BG song since I've never heard Ghost Town before lol
I realized when e got the "Year 1" bubble that they were gonna use this to solve that awkward issue of Vriska being 16. Based on the sprite look, it seems they used time with Ult Dirk and Rose to age Terezi up too, so by the end of this everyone will be, at least, of age thank god. The old weird timeline jumping ghost age gap stuff where everyone lost track of how old everyone was was hell in OG Homestuck. Soon we won't have to worry about that with ships lmfao
This is actually really satisfying for some reason, i used to really dislike vriska both as a joke and because of her character and actions, but the direction Beyond Canon is taking with her is really good and kind of making me like her more than i ever would've otherwise Overall, i have really high hopes for beyond canon in general and i can't wait for the next updates
i just feel like its kind of rushed? like, it would take more than a few conversations for vriska to actually change and grow as a person. feels like theyre speedrunning her character development
@@candy9264 Hasnt she been stuck in the hell place for like over a year. Vriska is actually receptive to character development when she hits rock buttom or runs out of irons in the fire
I kind of hope we get to see Aranea in one of these updates. I could see it being on either the one with Mindfang's Journal (I think that's what it is), or the 8 Ball. Either way I think talking to Aranea could be good for Vriska's development, as they both tried to emulate Mindfang's personality at different points.

Also, just who in their right mind would have expected a vriska-tavros moirailegience to be anything other than a catastrophic trainwreck? It's still not real. This isn't a real Tavros, however the potential was shown here, and that... I'm still doing double takes.

You probably already know this, but holding down the Ctrl key allows you to skip, though it won't work if you don't have the [Skip / Unseen Text] option highlighted. I'm confused about the "What will you do" boxes, since it feels like there is supposed to be a branching choice there. Maybe it's unimplemented or I'm just wrong. Why did they have to give Tavros such wide-set eyes? It's very off putting. The Aradia section touched on some reasons I really dislike Vriska. She loves to unilaterally declare that things are even or that she has paid her dues regardless of how the other party feels, and then she just continues to mess with other people without learning anything from it. Hussy gave her a bunch of lines to make her a more sympathetic character, but none of that ever sat right with me.
I think "what will you do" is the narrator (one of them, maybe a new one that controls {else where}) Since homestuck is like always about the meta-narrative shenanigans just like how old suggestions in the comic where actually made 413 million years in the future by a cute chess piece

They're not real, as Vriska says. They seem to be just projections made by whatever this place is to teach Vriska a lesson. That's how this pre-game Tavros shows up in LOMAT, and how Aradiabot switches back to alive non-godtier Aradia at the end.

A lot of the time she is stealing the light from others, and hwile this puts her at he center of attention, her intentions seems to be using peoples light to get them off their asses and do shit. That is why she was used by John.... technicalyl terezi, to make the retcon changes. OOOH that might explain why almost no one god tiered in her team except herself, and aradia, who killed her into god tiering. Coourse she was always 'meant to' be this way but that is i npart from a asshole author, which hussie was.
