I agree for the most part. It mirrors the real life treatment of iconic comic book chars but also fits the character of DW very well. Though I could see DW actually be turning partly so vile for fame it didn't sit right when you look at the whole episode. The ending though which revealed it to be Nega Duck made even less sense to me though. Why even play along for so long and why not go further if you really want to tarnish DW's reputation? I hope season 3 further develops the DW plot

It would be amazing, but I can’t stop wondering about the origin stories of the other Darkwing villains. Like, it would be pretty weird to see all characters of the in-universe TV show suddenly become real.

I think Disney is currently doing exactly what klimmr3021 said right now by slowly incorporating everything together so that it all can make sense and be in the same canon universe.

Original theme with new animations and a slightly updated sound? Sold. It gives you that classic drakwing feel with a new spin on it. If possible do a crossover episode where classic animated darkwing meets the newer version. Simple crackerjack creates his dimension traveling top.
That Darkwing Duck is actually Negaduck. Jim Starling an actor or what they were calling him I knew the look alike might have been DW for real because his name was Drake Mallard. So the fanboy is the real Darkwing Duck Haskins back to the original series.
