We have to thank Japan for helping the Philippines get a gold medal in 2024 Olympics. The training they provided Carlos Yulo in Tokyo was something that the Philippines cannot provide.
Other international athletes train overseas to gain experience and excel in performance. It's par for the course as a professional.

Indeed, we have to thank Japan for the help in the training of Carlos Yulo especially his coach, Munehiro Kugimiya, which made him what he is today, an Olympian.
It's Carlos' win! In the end it's the athlete who executes, basically the athlete is a sponge during training. It's up to them to squeeze out every ounce from whichever place they got juice from. Goes without saying that the result of a competition is an accumulation of everyone who helped along the way. No one's discrediting his journey and the people who made it so fruitful just because they're celebrating his win for the Philippines.

Hahaha tama ako!!! Kasi yung mga napanood ko na dati from 2020,21 and 22 nananalo na sya sa vault high ang difficulty but kulang lang sa execution. Ngayon at wala na syang pressure, finally nakita na nya ang gold!!! In my own opinion mas magaling sya sa vault dahil mas consistent sya doon keysa sa floor. Parallel bars na lang Caloy ang kulang!!! Yun naman ang perfect mo! Malapit na rin!

Nag-training kasi dito sa Japan kaya nanalo siya ng Gold medal sa Olympic.
In 2016, Yulo accepted an offer by the Japan Olympic Association to train in Japan under a scholarship program. After moving to Japan, Yulo continued his education at Teikyo University in Itabashi, Tokyo, and graduated in 2022 with an associated degree in literature.

After Yulo’s win, hopefully ang National Government ay pondohan na ang mga atletang pinoy lalo na mga lalaban sa Olympics, hindi more focus sa basketball lang (na minsan olats pa). Marami rin kasing Filipino blooded na lumaban sa Paris 2024 Olympics, so hopefully kung popondohan nang tama ang mga atletang ito sa mga sports hindi lang sa Gymnastics or Weightlifting, mas marami pang mga Filipino athletes ang lalaban sa Los Angeles, o maging sa ibang sports competition.
