This was our experience at SingleThread, CA - www.singlethre...
Please excuse the loud background noise, the waiters were wearing masks, so it's hard to hear them properly in combination with the loud atmosphere! Thanks for watching :)
That was an amazing meal ,nice detail ,the courses were very interesting and visually enticing
Yeah definitely a very unique and experience based dinner! Every detail thought of and so much effort put into each dish!
Is this a highly recommended experience? Any further details? Did you choose either wine pairing? I’m thinking of going in sept, but so many choices here in the Bay Area.
Thanks for watching! I'll be completely honest with you in sharing our experience. It was such an amazing restaurant and so much thought and effort was put into every dish and each detail... however, for us, personally... the dishes fell a little flat and there weren't as rich and deep in flavour and lacked a bit of the wow factor in taste. Still an amazing experience, but we were hoping for a bit more. What are your other choices in the Bay Area?
@@S3Lifestyle thanks…seeing yours and other videos of SThread, I was left with the same impression and honestly, there’s something about them that gets on my nerves. I am interested in their Japanese breakfast, but that requires a 1,400-1,600 overnight stay. I lived in Japan, so I may skip the experience entirely. Lots of amazing sushi choices abound.
I’ve eaten at Atelier Crenn and thought it was superb, flavorful, imaginative and the staff was, at our visit, very attentive. I’m thinking of Saison and Benu, with Saison as my next probable choice. When Cyrus was open, I loved that experience and find Gary Danko satisfying and consistent. I loved Commi as well.
I just can’t decide where next, though no shortage here in the Bay Area. I’d love your suggestion. I really love your videos. Thanks so much.
@Smoky O Quince was amazing and my favorite
Saison was great my wife’s favorite
Bouchon bistro in Yountville Napa area was hands down the best French food I’ve ever had, service was lacking though.
I’d skip Mourad if your contemplating it at all. Nice technique ok flavor, barely memorable…. Except for their harissa pecans those were addicting
@@smokyo7855 Hey! Oh Atelier Crenn is definitely top of our list when we're back in SF, glad you enjoyed it! But agreed with SThread, it might be something to skip for now, not a restaurant we would highly recommend. Like David said below, we've been to Saison and really loved the restaurant. Although not as creative as other restaurants, the food was delicious! Benu is also on our list, if you get to it before us, come back and report :) As for others in SF, we've only been once for a night and ate at Saison, so unfortunately nothing to recommend at the moment! We have some other fun restaurants in the calendar coming up, so hopefully we can find some other favourites to recommend :)
No spumoni?
The courses seem so chaotic.
Haha, yeah there's definitely a lot going on at this restaurant!
