Is the "cracked" talisman patched now? I ask because I have 14 INT and the ring of magical nature on to get me to the 3 slots needed for cursed weapon, but it's not work for me when I try to cast the spell. I'm not sure if this is because I actually need the 18 INT or not.

Just do pvp, I regularly was getting 50-100K souls as a host every red I'd kill.

Dex/dual wield builds can have up to 4 weapons equipped for changeups. So, you can swap out parrying devices from that Hiltless to the knuckles, or a Tearing Claw. (The fast attacks on it, with the intrinsic Bleed buildup from the Gatana means you can bleed them fast, and often.) The biggest advantage to Dexterity weapons is you have 5 different Upgrade paths for it, with different effects. So, for the 4th Weapon Slot (Assuming you don't use a light Shield with a low Strength requirement, like the Runed Shield) I'd put a Lethal Estoc in the main hand, secondary slot, for Parry Swaps, and Block/Backstab. (You can hold up Block while backstab fishing to stop dead-angle hits) That way, you don't have to farm 5 Pure Bladestones, you only need 1 for your main damage weapon, a Pure Suckerstone for your bleeder, and a Pure Marrowstone for your Fatal Estoc+5. (You can even farm Spiderstone for a Sticky Compound Longbow.) Basically, only Magic can be more versatile than that. (I guess Magic/Dex instead of Quality can theoretically exceed it, but that means juggling all 4 of your Equipped slots, including Spells.)
2 years late i know yet ur comments had me interested 😂 You pointed out using the Tearing claw with it bleed damage mines + 5 and a Uchigatana mines a Tearing at + 5 also iv not even tried them out yet as i don't get involved in pvp as iv no Internet so going solo and playing off line but would these 2 weapons be any good for some enemy in this game ? I'm just curious thats all and u seam to know what ur talking about 🤗 obviously u may not remember as ur probably onto Elden Ring now 😅 I'm a knight strength build mind and I'm on ng + 5 😂 Yeah i can't seam to tear myself away from this game till iv increased my stats and Attributes to where I'm able to wreck enemy and bosses as my skills are 💩 No matter how good a weapon is if your skills are bad and u ain't good at the game u ain't gonna do good yet im having fun so that's all that matters hey 🥳

That is a sick look for the dex build. super cool and super helpful. Never pvp in demon's souls back in the day because I took one twinked flamed wing spear to the face and said it was not for me. But now after seeing this I might give it a shot. Plus want to platinum so this really helped remind me what the meda was and some builds to think about. Now all I got to do is get a ps5....

Quick way to get maximum half moon grass is to go to world 1.2 the inner ward and immediately turn around and walk towards the blue eyed knight kill it pick up the half moon grass then run back to the stonearch and repeat
So far I have done a strength build, faith build, vitality NR build, and a magic build. Plan is a Dex build which I am not looking forward to the pure blade stone farming, but it just looks so fun to do.

Hey man are hammers and polearms any good in this game? I used to rock it with the Warpick and Halberd/Gargoyle's Halberd in Dark Souls with the Leo Ring. The mace looks super fun in this game to me.

A question,what stats do i need to lvl up in order to be able to wield heavier weapons?My build is a magic/faith one....But i would like to be able to wield some weapons too.Many times i get the message you dont meet the requirement for this weapon.But how do i see what are those requirements.... I'm playing Bloodborne for 5 years and I just recently bought Demons Souls. This video helped me on which stats I should focus while making a build cuz of the curse weapon and second chance. On my build I don't use second chance but curse weapon is there atleast cuz of the sweet damage. I use both the adjudicator's shiled and regenerators ring and it helps with the curse. Took me like a weak and half to make my 120 quality build.

For a dex build, if I use the meltstone shard on a +10 uchigatana can I then turn it into a sharp uchigatana, or do I have to wait to NG+ for that? Anyone?
I used a lvl8 great axe for pvp. Wasn’t expecting how amazing the R2 running attack was, let alone regular R2. Had several invaders rush me and I just meet them with a smack to the ground and usually they’re half dead opening up one last smasher as they back away to heal. Sent many Katana users home with this random god tier of a weapon lmao.
For the souls level meta being around 120, would NG+ matter? Like if I’m lvl 120 in NG+1 can I play with someone who’s lvl 120 in NG+3 or whatever?

On the dex build, does the luck serve any purpose? Is it just worth investing some levels to make the pure bladestone hunt more tolerable?
Going to showcase Faith, and Magic builds next? (Different ones of both, because a Firestorm build isn't the same as a Soul Mass/Arrow combo build, and a Blessed Regeneration tank isn't the same as a Moonlight/Fist of God build.)
Blueblood glitch builds don't usually cast buffs on their swords, because they can 1-shot without it. Also, as the host, he'd have 999 Soul Level. So, you're less likely to invade him at 119.

Anyways, as a player of the original I'm wondering if you just didn't know about the OTG property of the Meat Cleaver's R2 or if they just removed it since it's practically an infinite combo. They kept the infinite push combo (which used to work great with 2H knives and rapiers, probably still does), and cracked Beast Talisman, so I can't imagine they changed Meat Cleaver.

I was kind of going for strength but I wasn't really using a strength weapon until getting the dbs so it was just really awkward
I looked into it and according to some sources the hiltless does like 17 more damage than the uchi, do you honestly think that to be worth the 3% health lost on each swing?

@TheBurgz moonlight sword has the ability to phase threw shields. So the clipping bug is canon in a way.
Get the iron knuckle and go down the blessed infusion and use it in your offhand. Fully upgraded it will heal 6 hp/s vs the adjudicator's shield's 8 hp/s, but it'll look a lot better for fashion, plus you can parry with it in the offhand!
Not much that can be done about it without making something else look weird
Idk if you're still responding to replies but I went with 50 vitality, 40 Endurance, 33 strength so that 2 handing hits the 2nd strength cap, 33 dex to hit the first cap and balance it out with strength, combine that with the 18 intelligence and 16 faith for the meta attunements and I have soul level 127. Do you think this is a tad high for PVP or do you think it would be fine?

I'm having a problem with my strength build that I don't remember having in the PS3 version of the game. So I have an excellent strength build and I just finished my first run through of the Demon Souls Remake last night. Basically, my build is fantastic but the damage output is something I'm not all that happy with...
My problem is this, I have the Crushing Axe and a Crushing Knights Swird. The axe is a +4 and the sword I just started building and is at a +2. The thing is, my Dragon Sword +5 is outclassing both Crushing weapons by a lot. Even at a strength of 50 my Dragon Sword doubles my Crushing Axe. Will the sword or Axe eventually outpace my Dragon Sword or is this just the way it is. I think my axe is at...I want to say 150 DPS where as my Dragon Sword is at 306 DPS. The difference is absolutely huge.
Hi with the dex build can i equip the shield or the dex build its just for 2 swords in both hands?

I was looking for quality builds, but couldn't find anything (or only comments that it's far worse than a pure str/dex build. But from that vid it looks good. I was aiming for a dex build, and already got my sharp Uchigatana +5, but maybe I'll switch to quality during this playtrough. I'm usually going for quality build in souls games, so I can try out a lot of weapons.

No focus on “dress code”, like armour sets in the build guide.
I guess you can wear basically whatever you want in these builds.

It would be good if you did a video on the best weapons to get to these stats, for example, I'm just starting again and want to get to the strength build here, but I'm unsure which weapons to get early game to be able to transition to these

Hey cowboy try this battle mage build sometime if you haven't: 40 vitality, 40 endurance, 40 magic, 18 int (or was it 24 I forget -- no more than 24 int), 18 Faith, 16 str.,. Crescent Kilij +5, dark silver shield +5, Talisman of beasts, Kris Blade+5, I use Dull Gold armor set but Fluted works as well. The 16str is needed for Dark Silver Shield. 14str was needed for the Kiliij+5. 18 Faith is needed for Talisman of Beasts. Insane magic damage as well as great sword fighing damage.. around 400 damage per swing, but it swings very fast. I love how dark silver shield blocks magic.
From a new game (Royalty class) I come out of 1-1, saving Turpentine.. put all souls in endurance to get it around 18+. Then after entering 4-1 put the turpentine on the Scimitar. Kill the skeletons up the stairs. Go to the red eye skeleton, run around it and grab the Crescent Falcion +1. Now you can level up in 4-1 with insane XP :) It's enough to kill all those skellies with Crescent Falchion +1 along with 18 endurance. You get talisman of god in 4-1 and so after a few runs you can spend 5000 xp on heal. You have the fragrant ring + crescent falchion for nice mana regen, and basically get free heals as you level up in 4-1. Grab the wooden catalyst early on from 1-2.
Having the Crescent Falchion +1 early on in game like this makes it so easy.. especially the mobs in stonefang which get really hurt by the magic sword :)
I farm 2-1 for souls for leveling up as well.. lots of xp to be had there :) And you can destroy everything with the sword.

Can someone please explain to me what that roll trick is? When he or others get backstabbed and don’t lose health. I had never seen anyone do that before, so when cowboy mentioned it I tried looking it up but I can’t find it.
There isn't a trick I just rolled before they tried backstabbing so I had s but the way this game is coded they still got the backstab animation even though in reality I had dodged hence I take no damage
How much of a difference do you find heavy armor on stamina? I am always afraid to wear them because I dont want my stamina to take forever to come back

I'm finding my biggest issue coming back to this remake is the walls, I started with the Helberd and hated the type of swings.. So I went with a weaker spear, and holy shit it helps so much in early game. I'd do so many times to hitting walls or missing the enemy. I forget how I played back in 2009, but I wonder if the walls were as bad then.. But yeah easy for for mobs so far.
