Can’t go wrong with the good ol’ 7.3L Powerstroke!
I’ve rode in several of these in Virginia. They had the exact same tires that this bus has and the humming rear end.

@@Busguy109 even a few 2019 ic CEs in my district have the humming noise. It’s lower pitched at every speed vs this bus though. At 45 mph it’s sounds more like 37mph.
This is a very nice bus, I love the 7.3 L Navistar/Powerstroke under the hood. Also I think it's interesting how the wheelchair lift is in the front, not to mention this bus is in amazing condition for its age.
Agreed, I never seen a bus with a front lift. And I also agree that the T444E is a great engine.

If it’s possible can you show the outside of the bus you were driving so I can see if it has a diamond on it because the bus you were driving is also an AmTran but still an IC CE with the International Logo. I’d really like to see the outside of that bus.
Most likely has an international logo.
This particular bus has the regular international emblem on the hood, the International logo with the word “International” spelled out above the first windows and under the left side brake/turn/reverse lights “American Transportation Corporation” is spelled out. That was a very confusing time for them as we all know.

This bus sounds badass bro I ride a 2013 ic ce 200 maxxforce 7 kinda sounds the same but the growling sounds different though but when accelerating sounds the same but different growl that’s it I ride a 2013 ic ce 200 shorty wheel base 😊😊😊
