Very interesting approach I wonder how accurate it is … I would never boost the Highs to that level you measured in any room !
So I would be very careful using this method and check it out with smaart software just to make sure the accuracy of this method is really there . But hey I like it
    Great ideea ! Thanks

Just a note, this does not work with the dl806 or dl1608, the oscillator is not available on those boards.

Can you make an update video on how to do the setup. It’s that I don’t know if I’m doing it right. It’s that in some point in the video I get lost.

  • @takeoffthatiiitakethattrib8361

    Hey great video
We use the DL1608 on master fader 4.Er don't have the pink noise preset
What would be the best way to do it ?

Just buy a dbx driver will change your life for every and ever and ever plus will give you a better sound overall highly highly recommended

As great as the Driverack is (and I use several for permanent installs) I don't think there's much benefit for adding one to the JBL SRX series except maybe for the automatic feedback rejection. You're adding something additional to the signal chain that will limit the output gain sent to your speakers, and the SRX active speakers need a very hot signal in order to be driven for some reason.

Yes there’s is there various uses like the RTA that you just explained good job by the way but the dbx rack does it already and much much easier pink noise and white the ATS for feedback noise the Harmonicas for your subs that it activates it’s like adding an epicenter to a car system just kills specially like for you that like that extra punch and the DBX brand is compatible with your system honestly if you have not tried it check it out and if you did watch a vid on how to properly program it another feature Is the limiter also great for Dj’s will save your tweeters and save money good luck

@@ahipelon2527 This is a digital mixer that virtually does what the Driverack does. If you buy a Driverack won't you still need a mixer?

Been thinking about investing in a Driverack, but this is lights out

    • @ahipelon2527

@@dirtboy79 it does not do half of the stuff the driverack does but if you wanna think it does fine the dbx is a sound drive the mixer is a mixer. The dbx does what a super charger does to an engine to your sound it supercharges. the mixer doesn't have an afs filter with is a feedback filter the mixer doesn't have a clip limiter so you won't ever blow your speakers when you know how to set it up the mixer doesn't activate certain harmonicas for your subs as the dbx the list continues I use the Mackie with the master fader since like 2010 2012 and the same with dbx do a lil more research and you will understand what I'm saying so yeah just get a dbx you will love it and will not regret it

Great video, such a shame the DLS series does not have a USB stick input for playback

Was that statement about there not being a parametric EQ in the master and error? Did you mean to say something different because there is a parametric EQ in the DL32R. And if so, would you prefer to use the Parametric instead of the GEQ for pink noise?

    • @DJFriendZone
      @DJFriendZone  Před 4 lety +1

Living Stones The DL32R may be different, but I’m pretty sure the DL16S doesn’t have a parametric EQ on the master (I could totally be wrong though). Still, I would probably prefer the GEQ simply because you have control over each band; the PEQ per channel only has a few tokens (like 4 or something) to adjust, whereas the GEQ bins the frequencies in a way that, to me, is more natural for adjusting the RTA curve (plus it overlaps with the spectrum analyzer).
I’m also used to the way the Driverack does its RTA with pink noise which also uses a GEQ, but of course you’re free to use whatever works best :)

man that is too much of GE change...audio that we hear is not the best but we can hear all harshness in upper mids and highs...
