Not surprising really. Solar competition 2 is a backpacking tent NOT a mountain tent. Why spend £300+ on a tent to try and trash it by putting it in conditions it’s not designed for.
Who said it was a mountain tent not me!!! ha ha this tent was put up the night before in calm conditions and the wind got up by early morning, check out the Blencathra mountain man legend Terry Abraham blog on this tent dated 25/01/2012 online, he has used this tent in 50mph winds …………….by the way I have subbed your channel you now have one fan BRAVO.

Quality . Amazing . I was out in that same time , over there n all . In My terra Nova Voyager . I didn't pack away till 10 am . 7am , I was just cooking my breakfast , drinking tea . Had no problems at all . Until I got out of the tent . It's just so weird to watch your diary entry . Knowing Me and my mate were out wildcamping at the same time . Unbelievable . But true . Can't believe it myself . Thanks for sharing . Thumbs up . Awesome .
How do you rate the Voyager in the wind? where were you guys camped mate. Soon as I dropped down about 200m there was no wind at all !!!,good to know you where there at same time ,look forward to seeing your upload,Thanks for comment/watching much appreciated as always, Yorkie
It's not as good as The Soulo in the wind . But it's a brilliant tent none the less . Bit weak at the back . But once inside , I just brace it up at the back with my rucksack . I love the Voyagers space . We were in clag and wind at 7am . Once we headed down . We came out of the wind and cloud into a calm summers day .
I've got one and agree they can't take the wind, they are however designed for mountain marathons, to be used by two competitors on an overnight valley camp at the end of day one, ultra light and just made to get away with the rules. Used in any other situation they're pathetic
It’s an ultralight pitch it out the wind or buy a quasar and pitch it anywhere but carry more weight. Bit like buying a border terrier and complaining it’s abit small !?!

Just goes to show how well made the Terra Nova brand is. Amazing!
