    This is my very first comment ive ever ! Ive been watching you for about two years.live 1/2 mile from pick n pull and after watching your videos ive pulled 16 ls based vortecs from vans to tahoes. Your right on! I appreciate the time you take for all us watchers. I have sold a few to friends, everyone needs them in there life. Thankx

    I just watched one of your vids and i absolutely need to watch all of your vids man... just left the junkyard yesterday and I’m heading back today again to finish pullin these parts before someone starts to tear apart my junkyard find... just wanna watch as many as these vids as possible... for insight, education, enlightenment, etc, etc...

      The Driveway Engineer so... I have a 2007 Trailblazer LT 2wd 4.2L engine with a BaAd Automatic Transmission... which needs to be replaced ASAP... but I want the best trans tht I can find at the junkyard and ofcourse I’ll swap out the 4200 Vortec for an LS motor because i need more power... I just need to kno wht combo (motor & trans) should I be looking for

    absolutely you need the Neutral switch in your swap, it also contains the Range Sensor, you can tap your reverse lights into it if you swapped into a manual truck for example, as manual vehicles don't have the reverse light switch on the steering column like the automatics do, I would not recommend ditching the Neutral Switch / Range Sensor combo

    Is the transmission on the video works fine? Did you install in the vehicle with rebuilding the transmission. Cause I have the same issue I found a lock pin on inside the trans pan. Thanks if respond👍

    when u remove the harness from the position sensor if u use a heat gun or hair drier and warm the plugs up they wil slide right off without having to fight them,

    I have a 2000 5.3 Yukon engine and computer. I have a 4l80e out of a 1992 chevy 2500 2wd. The wire harness connectors are different. Is it possible to convert the 92 trans to work with the 2000 computer?

      Yes, there's an updated main connector if yours has a bolt through the center of it

    i found a 4l80e for my ls swap cutlass, i was under the impression i needed a park,neutral,safety switch but your video says i dont need this to run my 4l80 ls swap. so my vehicle will start without and shift too?

      That thing doesn't do a thing for you in a swap.
      You don't need it
      It's not needed.
      It doesn't do anything in a swap.
      Should still get one.

    Hi on the transmission fitting dos the longer fitting go on the back of the transmission or the front

      The longer fitting goes into the pump

      @@TheDrivewayEngineer The long cooler fitting goes into the centre support! From what I've read, if you use a short fitting at the back you'll lose lube and trash the internals.

    Hope all is well, educating myself on transmissions for my ls swap into 3rd gen F body. Car came running driving fine however, it has a 700r4 with seal leaks. Would I be better off to switch to a 4L60E and hook to 2004 O.E. computer control, or simply replace seals and run 700R4? thanks.

      Definitely swap in a 4L60E, the computer control is so much better, and the 60's have a ton of upgrades over a 700R4.

      @@TheDrivewayEngineer Yep, kinda thought so, but that finalizes it. I am finding them for as little as $400 on ebay. Will do junkyard computer cruises over the coming week. Hmmmm.. wonder what a perfectly running 1983 Z28 driveline is worth? LOL

      @@banno6938 close enough. In the video he proved that he has touched tools beforeKnowing your tools you can manipulate to your advantage. 1/2"= about 12.98 mm. I use 1/2" on 13 mm. Bolts or nuts I don't want to drop.

      @Dansyoutube - Well, close enough for the girls I go out with... The 13mm is probably a little big for heavy work, but .3mm is only .012" which is the thickness of three sheets of copier paper.

    I enjoyed the info, but the video could have been 10 minutes shorter if you hadn't kept replaying the fast forwarded sections after every time you talked. Once would have been fine, it was starting to make me seasick.

    I've never bought used transmission from my junkyard. Most guys I bullshit with say make sure vehicle wrecked from front. I know guy who's friends with worker let's him test drive the vehicle sometimes. Gives him heads up on what's wrong with vehicle. Some guys get phone calls when new line cars drop or certain car. They bribe workers with food and donuts.

    I wouldn't put anything in from a junkyard without going through it, unless I was in a hurry to hit the road. I hate R&R more than once on anything. At least pull the pump and look at the gears.
