  • There is no way to know for sure if you will get ovarian or uterine cancer. There is no simple and reliable way to screen for them. However, as we continue to search for the causes and cures, research has led to better ways to detect and prevent, especially for women at high risk for developing ovarian and uterine cancer.
Join Dr. Leslie Randall, director of gynecologic oncology at VCU Massey Cancer Center, as she discuss how advances in genetics offer women more preventative options and better-targeted treatments against these cancers.

What are your thoughts that a D&C should not be used if endometrial cancer is suspected due to risk of shedding cells throughout the bloodstream? This was advice from a London Harley street Gynaeoncologist given to patient who had the procedure previously before attending Harlem street. Unfortunately the lady has since passed but shared her story on CZcams in her final days.

I heard that having a biopsy in office is so painful like childbirth.
    Is this true?

I just had one today… you feel really crampy for about 10 secs or so …breathing exercises help tremendously in the process but the pain, in my opinion, is nothing like childbirth; everyone responds differently too so 🤷🏽‍♀️

In other words, as Baby Boomers age there will be a corresponding number of higher incidences of endometrial cancer. This is not really a big concern, its a natural progression of aging and dying process. The obesity problem, however, is another issue. Physicians aren’t addressing this and aren’t educating their patients about the risks appropriately; they simply shame them, and send them on their way. Nurses, are held responsible for most education and the patient doesn’t listen to them. Physicians aren’t even educated enough on eating disorders such as compulsive overeating and other health problems that contribute to these epidemics. If they actually took the time, they could stop spitting out these useless and meaningless charts filled with stats and actually make a difference in the health of the nation instead of merely saying “this is a public health crisis,” and making a living doing a few surgeries on a couple of cancer patients.

You’re clearly not someone in-depth in a personal way with this. Confused why you even watched this.

You are right. I speak from experience, and you are right! My 36 year old daughter died from stage 4 uterine cancer. The doctors failed her big time, especially before she was diagnosed. She had heavy bleeding for years and they never did an ultrasound. This all happened in NYC of all places.
