Thanks so much for your videos. They’re a great help to me! I also use Dow express. I think the way you handled the rust problem is great. As installers we can’t restore a vehicle to new. We’re replacing windshields and can only work with what we’re given.

Sgc glass that’s all I’m going to say !!!!! Bravo sir. I run into this so much I usually scuff with wire wheel or grinder or multi tool with a d a pad on it. Then I phosphoric acid the body then selfetching build up primer finish with sika 207 primer. That setting tool looks so cool

NEW Auto Glass I use a product made by loc tite called Naval Jelly seems to chemically treat the rust. It does have a 10 min flash off time. I work in ohio about 40 mins from sgc head quarters and I fix a bunch of leaks a year and I fix a lot of rust.

Great video. Very complicated subject with rust but not much can be done other than clean it up as much as possible. Is the proset the best setting tool in your opinion? Try to purchase set tool not sure which one to buy. Thank you

I've done this before and yes you can get it off 1 hundred percent. Take the entire pinchweld down to bare metal, sand blast it, weld holes, prime with 2k epoxy and it will never rust again. This is just the skimpy cost saving way that WILL rust again because you intentionally left rust on there. Do it right or do it twice or don't do it at all
