I couldn’t help but notice the on going discussions in the comment section of this video. As well as a few creators seeking to debunk the information. Let this be a lesson for all of us to do our own research and to not just double check.. but triple check. I commend those that didn’t just take my word for it., but went deeper. Which we all should! Especially in a time where there is so much information being spread so rapidly!
Normally I spend an entire day just researching for a video which I then will film the next morning.
Upon studying for this video - not only had I found countless websites, videos and blogs reporting on these Atheists last words.. But I found even further backings for these claims. An excellent book you should actually read for your self is .. Last Words of Notable People which was written by William B Brahms who was an encyclopedist, author and historian. He shares the accounts of Caesar Borgia and Charles the ninth with notable citation.
The claims of Sir Thomas Scotts last words, Voltaire, David Hume, and Sir Francis Newport can be further found in Death- bed scenes: dying with and without Religion by Davis W Clark written in 1851.
Voltaires words before dying can also further be found in ‘A collection of one hundred pieces of English literature’ by Naylor & Company in 1830.
The last words of the famous atheist Anton lavey .. which are said to be “oh my, oh my, what have I done, there is something very wrong.. there is something very wrong.” .. I will be honest and say that this specific claim is a rabbit hole but after the rabbit hole I went down, I personally didn’t find it to be too unlikely that those were his last words! There are a ton of conspiracies that circulate around Anton Lavey and the church of satan. One of the claims around his death being that the satanic church declared him dead on October 29th.. yet many say that the church of satan lied and that he died on October 31st. His daughter, ray ray, was also adopted by a christian family who has come out and shared their story during the week of Antons death regarding his daughter. I could see how someone who has no concept or belief in the spirit realm would be quick to mock or laugh this video - but being fully aware of it, I find the story to be plausible. But again, to each their own!

Also if I were a Christian, I wouldn't be very pleased that you're slandering other Christians by spreading lies about how they were atheists when they weren't just so you can make a very poorly researched video essay for clicks.
Typical Satanists are atheists in the sense that they don’t even believe in the supernatural (at all) and by extension they do not believe in gods (at all) but LaVey was a little different in that he does appear to hold some sort of supernatural beliefs just not Christian beliefs as Satanism was created in response to Christianity as “Ha Satan” is “The Opposition” and despite Jesus (the messiah), the Holy Spirit (Spenta Mainyu), Satan (Ahriman), and the monotheistic god (Ahura Mazda) all being heavily influenced by Zoroastrianism close to the time of the Babylonian exile the Jewish tradition prior doesn’t actually have a Satan that is any single particular individual as Yahweh was clearly one of the sons of El rather than El himself. Yahweh was added to the Canaanite pantheon around 800-900 BC and he wasn’t viewed as the only god until around 516 BC which is ALSO ironically as old as the OT concepts retranslated and mistranslated repeatedly until Paul and others looking to the OT suggested Jesus WILL COME from heaven and that after being executed BY DEMONS he was brought back to life ACCORDING TO THE SCRIPTURE ANYWAY and if Paul and his contemporaries interpreted scripture incorrectly then perhaps it is foolishness to expect God to do the same for them but they’d rather be fools and have hope in the impossible than to succumb to their doom at the hands of Ha Satan (the Roman Empire) which is going to happen so quickly that there’s no point even getting married. And yea, Paul died in like 64 AD and he was right. The Romans DID completely destroy their way of life. Satan (the Empire) really did kill them so fast that they didn’t bother getting married. Jesus never came to stop them.
A couple years after this destruction took place gospels written in Greek in places not in Israel by people not even aware of the geography of Israel then did what was already a common practice among Greek Authors from places besides Israel and they wrote elaborate biographies about fictional religious heroes and from 50 AD to about 130 AD there’s almost total silence about the existence of Christianity outside of Christianity and also almost zero in terms of well documented records of the early church with some of the stuff that does exist depicting multiple different versions of Christianity all existing at the same time within 20 years of the supposed death of a man some of them were not sure was ever a real human man and others were not sure was ever truly the chosen messiah.
This “Satan” in the NT is almost certainly referring to the Roman Empire except in places where it is clearly depicting a single individual speaking with Jesus in private saying things that nobody would know was being said because those conversations happened in private yet we find them making their way to the gospels anyway. Just like any other hero demigod fiction would have. They wanted the hero demigods to be human. Jesus wasn’t some deification of the sun but he was depicted as being a demigod. God as his father, human as his mother. And like other demigods his story is completely mythical. Even if a dozen people like Jesus the normal messiah preacher man really did exist as well.
The Satan, the Ahriman the Opposer, that is the ultimate enemy in Christianity. Satanism is based on the premise that in the story Satan is actually the good guy. They typically do not believe in a literal supernatural Satan as Satanists but LaVey apparently did hold supernatural beliefs (in magic).

Charles IX was a devout Catholic. Voltaire was a deist. Anton Lavey was a Satanist. It is highly unlikely the other were atheists either since they all held positions withing the English government and that wasn't permitted for atheists until 1888 since they would have to swear by God to take office.

So she doesn't care to slander the dead because there are conspiracies around him and he's a satanist, so I guess that for christains that means you can lie all you want and it doesn't matter what they truth is.
I personally wouldn't care if the leader or founder of the satanic church was Charles Manson himself. If someone falsely quotes him, it's a false quote, and she says she knows it's false. She just doesn't find it "personally unlikely" that he might have said what is attributed to him based on conspiracies around him, which she only implies and not says, but why else would one add those conspiracies there if not to use it as evidence to support the credibilty of the quote, which is bull.
Vice versa, theists have never been honest or telling the truth if it came to defending their faith, and those who did are now atheists or stopped being honest. So her personal opinion on how likely something is in relation to her faith tells me there's a 100% chance she's wrong, lying, and that she doesn't care one bit about the truth because that's the unbroke pathological pattern all theists in all ages of all religions have always shown becuase there is no truth to their faith, only lies.

We all have a sin nature. Jesus born sinless took upon all sin. We are saved by His grace His sacrifice.

I watched my best friend's father die while my friend and I were with him in the hospital
room. The man was a Christian. In his last two hours, he was in a deep coma while we each held one of his hands on either side of the bed. Suddenly, from right out of a coma, he sat up quickly and reached out his hands to embrace someone in front of him with an amazed look on his face, and he yelled, "Jesus!" Then he dropped back down and flat lined. It was amazing to literally see the moment he met Christ in eternity. I have never forgotten that.
What a wonderful experience. I’ve also seen this transition. So peaceful what a Blessing!

When the Roman Emperor Vespasian died he reportedly said "Dear me, I think I'm becoming a god". He was then deified by the Roman public. By this girls logic this would mean Roman Paganism is the true religion because someone expressed Roman Pagan beliefs on his death bed therefore it must be true.

How do you account for the existence of religion? Every culture has some form of it. Even atheists use it to define what they are. (That's like a human calling himself a non-vegetable.) Whatever you believe about the following four topics form your religion.
1.) How did the universe begin?
2.) Is there a God and if so, who is He?
3.) What happens to us after our physical bodies die?
4.) Considering the previous three questions, on what authority do we base our concept of right and wrong?
As humans we all must face those questions at some point. If humans are the top of the food chain, why do we need religion at all? We should be in control already.
The dishonesty of this video is startling. Please look up the inaccuracies for yourself, you don't need to believe me, but seek the truth yourself. Of all these "quotes", one of the most important lies made is that most of these "atheists" were actually deists or Christians themselves, just not of the same version of Christianity as the woman who posted the video--Catholics or non-evangelical Protestants.
All claims are made up and/or without a source. As an influencer, you really have the basic responsibility to your viewers to use accurate sources.

When it comes to David Hume, it is well documented that James Boswell paid him a visit shortly before his passing. It was to confirm his own religious beliefs, because he didn't believe Hume could remain an atheist while dying. He was very disappointed. Hume told him that it was "a most unreasonable fancy that we should exist for ever." Also, Boswell said that, Hume ‘said flatly that the morality of every religion was bad, and … that when he heard a man was religious, he concluded he was a rascal, though he had known some instances of very good men being religious.’
So tell me, to what English atheist club did Sir Francis Newport belong? None of that is in any of the scant information about him online. It is only mentioned on websites repeating this lie. The war of which you speak was a civil and religious war. He wasn't an atheist.
One last one, because I can't stand the brain rot. Anton LaVey. You might want to ask his daughter Zeena Schreck about all of that. I mean, she disavowed her father in 1990 and didn't want anything to do with the Church of Satan. But you don't hear her making this claim. He died in 1997, Zeena is still out there doing her performance art. So yeah. Ask her if her father said that.

Charles IX of France was definately not an atheist. First, he dirived his power as King from God. Second, the Huguenots were protestants and Charles IX would have been a Catholic. It is believed that Catherine De Medici (his mother) provoked the St. Bartholomew Massacre because her daughter married a protestant. And many Huguenots gathered in Paris to celebrate the wedding. One of the leaders of the Huguenots was accused of an assassination attempt and Charles put out commands for his and other Huguenot leaders. So if Charles IX had said he regretted killing hundreds of Huguenots it was a king regretting putting so many to death on hearsay and innuendo, not because he was an atheist having a deathbed revelation.
Also, not to bury the main issue with this video. The information presented is simply false. The poster may not have known these claims were false when she created and posted this video. But there should be enough messaging on the falsity for her to research these quotes. It's one thing to defend your faith but it's quite another to knowingly use lies and misrepresent truth. If your position is true then you don't need to defend it with lies.

There is so much wrong with Darkmatter's video. He effectively implies Hume was atheist and tries to attack her on a technicality, he misses the bit in literally the same Britannica article he read that suggests Borgia was losing his faith, he tries to proclaim the Deist god as one who intervenes in the universe (that one does not), and so on. I wouldn't downplay the debunking of this video. I don't care enough to research and disprove all the different lies in such videos. The same is true for most other people - they don't find debunking these kinds of videos easy enough, so most similar videos are left undisturbed online. It is also difficult for some people to maintain a level of respect and avoid starting disputes where having a nice discussion is impossible.

I laid down on the bed. After I closed my eyes I saw a man wearing a white robe emanating bright white light. Behind him were 3 dimensional capital letters spelling out JESUS CHRIST. I woke up saying I wish I could see him again. I had no idea what I saw. I accepted Jesus as Lord at 19 years old. The Lord has continued to reveal himself in amazing ways. He revealed himself to me before I ever heard about him. I love the Lord. His salvation offer is available to all humanity. Anyone who will accept him will be saved.

I watched your video because I am subbed to an atheist channel who did a reaction to this video, and had to explain to everyone that your sources and quotes that you believed were actual atheist death bed quotes, are misleading and entirely false. This isn't an attack against you as a Christian. Just because a human being doesn't have any substantial proof to make a conclusion that a deity is real. Doesn't mean you should spread misinformation about things they've never said. And if you're going to use made up nonsense to try and put fear into people on the fence, on whether or not they'll continue being Christian. Go do the same list called "Things Christians said on their death bed after finding out Islam is the one true religion." There is a list! Also make one on Islamic people on their death bed finding out Christianity is real. There are even ones about Alabama football fans on their death bed, finding out Auburn football was the real football program. That's when I said "To heck with this nonsense! Without even looking into the facts upon which this video is based one has reason to be skeptical. Most of the people referred to lived in a time when being atheist would get you imprisoned or at least socially outcast. You certainly could never hold a position of power. My college roommate shared Christ with me. It took 2 years, but I trusted Jesus and have been waking with him for more than 20 years. I can't even remember my previous way of life. Thank you Jesus for the gift of salvation.

Our daughter died of cancer three days after her 59th. Birthday....I spoke to her just minutes before her last breath and ask her if the first person she is going to look for was her husband and she said "NO, JESUS....She was a lifetime Christian and I knew we would see her again ...

My parents have been in ministry all my life. They’ve been called to countless deathbeds. And the more they saw of ppl’s very last moments, the more they believed in heaven and in hell, and that Jesus is the ONLY way to eternal life. They saw self- righteous elders in the church scream lake of fire in terror in they last moments, so appalling that his children asked my parents to never tell anyone what their father saw as he passed into the afterlife. And there were lifelong smokers who was an atheist who had criticized his wife for her volunteering at church, who began to acknowledge his sins and faced with his mortality when diagnosed with stage 4 cancer, began to turn to God. He asked my parents to visit him at home as he was under home hospice. And for six months they essentially held a Bible crash course and prayed for healing, for forgiveness of sins, and he repented of his lifelong sins and on his deathbed, he saw heaven.
I’m not saying it’s easy to repent as you face death, but on rare occasions it happens, and just like the thief on one side of Jesus, in his last moments believed in the Son of God and was assured heaven, there is grace and forgiveness as long as you have breath and the willingness to humble your heart and accept Jesus’s offer of salvation.
But hearing these accounts of the deathbeds from my parents, including the testimony of an old man either in or near his 90’s who died for a few mins and returned from heaven, I know heaven is real. The old man cried and cried in the hospital when he returned to life. He had seen heaven and was so sad he was sent back, because Jesus told him he had one more thing to do. And in the half year that he lived, his children, who went to church for the socialization and when it suited their weekend plans, witnessing their father’s death and return to life, and accounts of what he saw in those few minutes, began to take their relationship with Christ seriously and changed their lives to prioritize God. Then he passed away again for good. He was a quiet old man, very gentle and kind at church.
It goes to show you never know what lies in the heart of man, but their last moments will show how they lived their lives (if they have the opportunity to be surrounded by loved ones in that moment).

I'm gonna politely say that you are harming your fellow believers by promoting false information. If you want to win over non-believers, you should be using verifiable facts. If you just want to pander to people who never leave their comfort zone, then carry on.

I was a Muslim. I woke up in the middle of the night unable to breath this happened a year before Christ Jesus our Lord found me. I was afraid that night I thought I was going to die. Then I said the shahada soon as I said it I felt darkness and fear. I was wondering why. Thank the Lord I didn’t die that night. Then a year after I got converted the same thing I woke up at night unable to breath then I said Lord Jesus is it time. I was at peace and smiling waiting for our Lord to take me home. Our Lord allowed that experienced to tell me Jesus Christ is the truth in Him there is no fear of death. In Him is life everlasting.

I doubted that my dad was a believer, but as he was dying, he cried, "Help me Jesus, my Lord, my Savior and my God." I felt that was a gift from God 2 me so I could rest assured.

when he was dying he saw angel of death approaching him to capture his soul and if he was believer and only believed one true god and didn't take anyone else god besides one true god he would die in peace if he took someone else god then the angel would strike him. You just cited some very questionable sources for the quotes and failed to address the fact that none of these people where even atheists to begin with. In one of your replies here you made an easily refutable claim that Borgia was never a bishop. I'm beginning to think you Christians aren't quite as truth-loving as you claim...
