1. As a group, can you recite all ten of the Ten Commandments? How might the Ten Commandments be more special than other lists of commands found in the Bible?
2. Do you think people will make it to heaven if they obey the Ten Commandments to the best of their ability? Why or why not?
3. If the Ten Commandments are not a means of salvation, why did God give them to us?
4. Read Exodus 19:1-6, 16-19. What do we learn about God from these verses? Why is it important that we understand what God is like? How might an accurate knowledge of God help us draw closer to him?
5. Read Exodus 20:1-17. Which of these commands do you think is the most difficult to obey? Why?
6. How might we be able to apply today’s lesson to our lives?
